some really good vibes and prayers or whatever you can for the next few months to go as smoothly as possible....we are getting divorced (after 22 years) and honestly think it will be the best thing for the TWO of us, my husband and Ben (14) will be staying out here on the west coast in WA/OR while Abby (9), Peyont (7) and I move back to my "home" in VA. I have been gone from home for 25 years and I feel theneed tojust get back home...I need some support and some healing time a nd just time to get life straight for all of us. It will be a MAJOR adjusment for the kids, but m ost of all Peyton. With his Autism he does NOT do change well so I need as many good vibes as you got for this cross country move we are going to be doing in less than 30 days...................(we are driving our van, bring 2-3 animals) and I will be pulling a uhaul trailer (5x10) with 25 years of memories....I know we will all get through this and when things settle we will all adjust accordingly, but at this time in my life I need todo what is GOOD for ME (and thatis is something I have never done)...not to mention we are going to file bankruptcy and try to get all of our divorce stuff done before we leave WA......we are going to foreclose on our house (which honestly neither of us is really sad about), but we have struggled and struggles since I quit working and we need to come with with quite a bit of money to file all this paperwork that we need to file.....so save some of those good thoughts and prayers for that as well............I can't really share this on any kind of social media, but I know you girls and I have been hear a long time and you guys are my "home in digi land" and I know I can trust you all with anything...just needed to get it out there and try to feel like I am not alone and that this can be done......I can't wait to see my family and have my kids get to spend some real quality family that they have never met.......:wub:

p.s so far everything we have talked about and splitting and custody of the kids etc etc, we have all agreed upon and we really don't have anything to fight over.................
 
Oh Angie, I'm so proud of you for doing what is best for you and the children, even though it is tremendously hard. I'm glad that so far you've been able to agree on things, and I hope that continues. You will most certainly be in my prayers, and I wish you every good thing as you start this new chapter in your life. Hugs and much love <3

That must have been a hard decision to make, but I'm sure everything will work out for the best. Wishing you lots of good luck with starting this new chapter!

You have every positive thought I can muster coming your way Angie. I hope moving home will have the healing power you need and I know what it's like to move home to heal after so many years ... I hope it does you wonders as it did me. Time to take care of you as well as Abby and Peyton. Good luck and keep us posted when you arrive home!
 
That is so hard but in the end it will be a good move for you from the sounds of it. The hard part is often just making all those decisions. I will send all my positive thoughts your way!

Oh my gosh! Definitely a big, crazy time in your life. I know what it's like when you can vent and share online, so you're surely welcome to talk things through here.
 
I'm sorry you are going through this divorce and dealing with so much in such a short timeframe. I hope you are able to get all the legal paperwork done so that you don't have to go back to the west coast to finish. I will be praying for you as you travel cross-country with your children, furbabies and household belongings as well as you transition to life "back home" for you, your children.

I second this! I KNOW it's hard, but in the end, if you and the kids are happier and more at peace, it will all be worth it. You know you have our full support, and I'm only a mouse click away if you ever need someone to listen, vent to, celebrate with, etc. Love ya, girl! :wub:

BIG HUGS!!! Going through my divorce was by far the most stressful, trying time of my life. Praying for you because no matter how smoothly everything goes, it's still such an emotionally-draining experience. :wub:
 
Good luck, sweetie! Many prayers for a smooth transition for your family and that things get settled quickly! Divorce is never easy, however it sounds like you are trying to make the best of a difficult situation.... :hugs:

Being able to agree on the important things has to be an enormous load off of your shoulders. Here's hoping the move will bring you peace and clarity and provide you with a support system to help raise your kids. You will get through this and be stronger on the other side.
 
I am literally crying f rom all the awesome support here......I know it is going to be hard, but I just KNOW that it is something we have to do and it is a decision we made TOGETHER....tolf m y oldest, Sam (22) last n ight and she said "like Ididn't see that coming"...just kinda made us laugh.....sometimes your kids know you better than you know yourself
 
Sending lots of hugs and positive thoughts! I'm sure it won't be easy, but like you said, it sounds like once you're through the adjustment you'll all be happier. I'm glad you're going to be able to move home.

I don't know how Peyton is, but Ben can handle big changes a lot better than small ones. Asking him to brush his teeth before he puts on his shoes is almost guaranteed to bring on a meltdown, but when everything changes because we're away he handles it fine. Fingers crossed that Peyton is like that and your trip goes smoothly!
