PLEASE HELP!!! Quetion regarding Paint Shop Pro

OK, I don't know if this question has already been asked but I use PSP v. 9 and I was wondering how to separate the files I have purchased that are not individual png files...Any suggestions besides cutting out each individual letter in the alphabet :blink: ???? PLEASE HELP!!!!! Thanks ladies :)
 
I have yet to figure out a great way to do this.
I usually leave them as one image and cut everytime I use it! Annoying, yes but thankfully I don't have many things like that, it seems like mostly alphas.
 
There really isn't any other way to separate the letters into individual files. Conceivably, a script could be written, but I think it's too specific with the selections for it to work well.

Thanks so much, that is what I thought too, just checking to see if anyone had a secret ;) oh well, I will just have to suck it up and go for it!!!

Yeah, unfortunately I have to echo Zacola on that one. I think we will have to do the irritating old cut and paste. Sorry! I am too lazy to separate mine, I just use the little selection tool whenever needed.
 
I use PSP XI, but surely, version 9 isn't too far off...

The alphas come on transparent backgrounds, right? All the ones I've bought do. Anyway, I just use my crop tool, getting as close to the letter as possible, and then copy and paste. You could also use your magic wand to select the letter, but I would think that the crop tool would be your best bet.

Yep, that is what I have been doing, just kind of a pain!!!! I will live I am sure though :blink: I appreciate your help :)
 
its a pain, i just crop them when i am using. But if its an alpha i use a lot i actually crop them and save them separately in the folder so I don't have to go through the cropping every time lol
 
I have a script that I use that cuts them out(on my HD not in the store), all you need to do is place the square on the alpha you want then hit the go button then it cuts it out (I can't get it to do the whole alpha at once tho :( I've tried)
