Please help me welcome my friend Mary to SSD

LIBBY!!! You outed me! I'm just sitting here quietly, putting up my layouts, and you told on me. :unsure: But you are a sweetie. :)

Thank you everyone for your warm welcome and your kind comments on my layouts!! It's always a bit overwhelming coming into a new community. And I haven't been part of one for a very long time! But Libby knew just the right time to tempt me with her digi stuff...right when I was getting back to scrapping after a year-long hiatus. So it's been fun looking around here...BUYING stuff is WAY too easy, but certainly satisfies my immediate satisfaction needs.

As Libby said, I've been a paper scrapper for many years and I do still love that. I always say, scrapbooking is such a worthwhile hobby...no matter how you do it.

A few of you asked about my paper layouts...OK, I won't be shy...I have a few here: MaryinAZ Gallery and you can see some of my really old stuff on my blog in the photo albums.

Thanks again...and I'll have to check out those challenges Libby mentioned. :cool:
 
Welcome Mary! I dove into digi after paper scrapping for years - love it so much better! It's less messy and you never run out of stuff!

Glad to see some locals here! jorgies5 - what part of Chandler are you in? I live on the west side, very close to Tempe. jsikardi - are you still in Chandler? And **Holly**, Mesa isn't too far away either!
 
Welcome, Mary! And I agree with what a lot of the girls have said--being a paper scrapper will definitely help you in the move to digi, coz well you'd know some of the best ways to make a page work :D I love your gallery!
 
Mary- your stuff looks great! I never paper scrapped , but if you ask me digi is much easier! Less mess anyway! Welcome to SSD!
 
Nope - no longer in Az :(
Moved to the midwest - But I make a point to visit Phoenix-ish at least twice a year (one of my dear friends is in Maricopa, and another in Gilbert) because I just love the area.
(I lived in Tempe when I was out west, though. I enjoyed being able to walk to Mill Ave./Tempe Town Lake - I left just when the condos were coming in and changing it up... 2003)
