Pinterest -

I guess I'd like an invite if someone has one - I need to see more of what this is about - I still don't really get it.

Hold on....so pinterest is through facebook? When I got the invite, it wants me to go through FB - is that right?

I had to go through facebook. I was hoping I could get the account independent of facebook, but you can't. However, it won't publish ANYTHING on your facebook unless you click a box that says "Publish on facebook" or something like that... so the two worlds can remain as separate as you want them to.
 
Ok, got it. Sooo...who can see what I've pinned? I can see Darcy, Lauren, Shannon and Robin's stuff - I guess it takes you to your FB friends pinnings automatically?

People subscribed to you see your pinnings in their "feed." You see what your friends (or people you are subscribed to) in YOUR feed. You can unsubscribe to them, or they can subscribe to you, or whatever. If you post something on facebook, your facebook friends can see your pins.

Popular pins that many people on the website love, or pins with a lot of comments, get featured on the Everything page and the Most Commented page, but I haven't seen anyone I recognize on there, so I don't know how much it takes to get featured there.
 
I *think* I need some help...

I want to sign in with my facebook account and I used the invite I got from Kate.
But it wants me to click : allow or don't allow. I am a bit worried about this part: "Pinterest may access my data when I'm not using the application" and not sure if I want everything on my wall, so I clicked don't allow.
Then I am send to a log in screen but it says; please accept the facebook request.

Am I overlooking something? Am I too worried about nothing?
 
I was also concerned, Monique. I have my FB account pretty much locked down and don't allow anyone but me to access it. I ended up signing up using my Twitter account.
 
Thanks Kate. I also ended up using my Twitter account ( now I at least use it for something ;))

Thank you so much... I think if I stay up late enough I'll actually be able to play because you should all be in bed by then. :) LOL
 
I tried clicking on the site, to be added, and it put me on a wait list. Can I still join if I get an invite, or am I stuck waiting until they add me?
