pierced ears?

I got them pierced when I was 5. I went to stay at my grandma's for the weekend and she took me in and had them pierced and then cut the sides of my butt length long hair to above my ears so you could see them. Needless to say, my mom was just a little ticked off. lol I pierced a second hole a couple of times throughout my teens, but it kept closing up whenever I need to take out the piercer earrings. I think the first has even closed up at this point cause I haven't put in earrings in years.

White gold causes issues for people with metal allergies, too, actually. I thought my ring which was white gold was crap gold, too, since I kept having slight reactions to it, then I read online that white gold doesn't work well either and it made sense.
 
I don't know if it's a cultural thing, but here babies usually have their ears pierced right away. I know when my sister came home from the hospital she had these tiny star-shaped posts in her ears. I wondered at the time if babies came with earrings, lol!

I have one other piercing in my left ear that I had done when I was in college. My sister, on the other hand, has multiples on both ears, a tongue piercing and a belly piercing that has since closed up.
 
First time, I was 7. I had chronic infections despite extreme care so we let them close. I got them redone when I was 12, but had the same issues. I just let them close and they're still closed to this day.
 
I got my first set when I was 10, and didn't want anymore ever...

I now have 5 in the left, 3 in the right, I only wear all of them occasionally and have a tough time with the 3rd hole on the left, so I go without the uppers mostly) and just got my nose done for my birthday.

My girls both have theirs done, they are 5 (had them done at 6 weeks) and 3 (had them done at 1 year). They love them. The oldest will change hers and take care of them by herself.
 
My daughter is loving her second set of holes. She's already talking about getting the third. She says she'll wait until her 15th birthday but I don't know... she seems to want them really bad already.
 
I was 7 when my mom and her father pierced my ears (my granddad got me little diamond ear rings) I got my second hole when i was 15, 3rd holes when i was 21 and my 4th holes when i was 25....BUT I also got pierced in other places too :)
 
I was five when I got mine done the first time. I have six holes in one ear (including cartilage) and three in the other. I change out my bottom earrings a lot but I leave the rest in and rarely change them, I wear little hoops and tiny studs. My dd's both have their ears pierced, they were both about 5 when they got them done and they've always taken good care of them. One of them has sensitive ears but she deals well. My oldest DD just got hers done for a second time for her birthday, she's 14. She loves them.
 
I got my first set done when I was 4, my second set & upper cartilage at 14, my thirds at 15. I rarely wear earrings though.
I got my tongue pierced 10 years ago, and just re-did my nose about a month ago (I had it done when I was 16, but took it out).

Jenna had her first set done at 2 months old, her second set & her nose done for her 13th birthday.
Cody had asked to get his one ear pierced when he was 6, so we let him. He also asked for a lip piercing at 14, which we also allowed. He has since pierced just about every part of his body at one point or another in the past 2-3 years. lol
