Photoshop help

I got a new Macbook and I'm slowly trying to get all my Photoshop preferences in the program - I want things to just work the way I want them to work!! lol

2 things I can't figure out - using a Macbook, and Photoshop 2026.

1) Layers - on my old Mac when I selected a layer on the canvas, it automatically scrolled to it on the layers panel. Now when I select it on the canvas it 'selects' it but I'll still be up on the last layer I was on, so I have to scroll up or down to try and find the new layer.

2) 'Fit to Screen' is not fitting to screen - it opens bigger than the window ... I do have my display set a bit larger than the default, but it opens everything huge ... is there any way to fix this?

I don't have a mac but number 1 happens to me sometimes on a PC. To fix it I have to ctrl+select another layer then ctrl+reselect the one I want and it goes automatically to that one. Have you tried that?
