Photoshop CC trial - advice needed

So when I come to Florida in a few weeks time, I'm going to bring my laptop so I can scrap. The thing is, at home I only have photoshop on my desktop, and I can't find the installation discs I used. I was looking online for a free 30-day trial, but only the Photoshop Creative Cloud trial is available (the old link to the CS2 download doesn't work). I know nothing about CC.

My questions are:
1. Is it worth downloading the free trial for 30 days?
2. Is it so different from the CS5 that I'm using now?
3. Will I still be able to do everything on the CC trial that I currently do in PS?

Thanks for any help or advice you can provide.

I don't think you'll lose any functionality. You get some new features, more powerful algorithms and processors, etc. Your workflow should be pretty similar.

Thanks Krystal, I was hoping that would be the case. A while back I trialled PSE on the laptop, but I just couldn't get my head around it after being so used to CS5.

I used CS5 in the past and switched to CC -- I didn't notice any major changes needed to my workflow. Just don't forget your favourite actions/styles/fonts. :) Missing some of those would definitely shake up my scrapbooking process!

I upgraded from CS3 to CC and even that wasn't too much of a jump. Mostly there were new features that made things easier rather than harder. I'm sure you'd be fine coming from CS5.

But I agree on making sure you have all your styles and actions saved!

OK, so I loaded the 30 day trial, and it looks good! Yay! Now I'm a mobile scrapper. Watch out! :D
