Photo Editting HELP!

I'm hoping someone can help me! Ava had a photoshoot when she turned 1 and the photog sent me a CD with a whole bunch of the best photos. Problem is that she's not a very good photo editor, and I know she just ran some basic Photoshop actions on them. BUT she only ran them on a few photos (like one in a series), so none of them "match", kwim??

Example - I LOVE this one, but I hate the red hue:

This is what the photos in the rest of the series look like (uneditted I think, except for the noise filter I ran):

So I'm begging for help! I can't for the life of me get that red hue out of that photo and I want it to look more like the natural sunlight look of #2. Can anyone help me??

what photoediting program are you using? I think fixing the white balance on that first picture should help if the wall behind her is white or gray.

Enhance > Adjust Color > Remove Color Cast

Then just click on places that are supposed to be white until you are happy with the results. I use this ALL the time since our inside photos all have a yellow hue.

Good luck!

I did a quick edit. Just adjusted the color and did a little adjust on the levels. It looks a little lighter then the other one but that could be just a bump on the color or levels I think. (of course I am not an expert at all LOL just playing with the settings til I get somewhere where I like it)

This does look a LOT better!

I'm not too familiar with the difference between PSE and PS. In PSE can you adjust the hue/saturation? If so, if you just slightly adjust the hue it will remove that very easily. There are several ways to do it, but that is my preferred method. That's too bad the photographer isn't a good editor. Yikes. Editing is almost as important as starting with a good photo!

Ava is such a lil' doll Jae! And that stinks that she did the funky editing on just some of the photos, should have just left them as is cause they look so much better that way. Anyway I just had to play around with them, hope that's okay :)

On the first one I did an Auto White Balance in ACR and then adjusted the levels til the redness in her skin was toned down. Then I applied one of my favorites of Sarah's actions and played around with the layers.

Then on this one I just applied the same action as the first one and adjusted the layers to the same as the first so they match :)

Oh, I have PSE6 also, instead of remove color cast you can adjust to skin color... I personally prefer those results than just the remove color cast.

Enhance -> Adjust Color and you'll see several options to choose from to get exactly what you want... also you may be able to do color variation and click remove red and get the result you may be looking for too.

Oh THANK you girls! I love the edits you made! So much better!

I'll try to adjust the skin tone in my program too - I really need to learn this kind of stuff, lol!!

ETA: Okay, I played with Skin Tone, Levels, Adjustments (lol) THEN I ran Sara's "Pretty Primer" action from her Vintage Set to all 3 (and tweaked the opacity for each one)... I THINK that I got them pretty close! What do you think? Do they look too yellow??
