Ugh. I know what you all mean.
Between full on facebook fights between divorced spouses to family members who do nothing but vaguebook to 40 year old friends who obviously want to be 20 by the selfies they post.... yeah.
I don't post much at all these days. People take everything to be bragging or complaining or whatever. It is easier to keep my mouth shut. Now and then I will post about something big going on with one of my kids. I share because we have extended family members who love these updates and, that is what they are, updates. When my kid won the county spelling bee, I wasn't going to call every aunt, uncle and cousin but by posting on facebook they were able to get the update and send her a message of congrats without making a big deal of it. It seemed less braggy than calling to tell them in person when I'm sure they would have wanted to know, one way or another. On the other hand, I post just as often when my kids are being brats.
I definitely can't stand when people try to make their lives seem so perfect. I'm so far from perfect that it isn't even funny. My kids aren't perfect and my husband isn't perfect. We all do stupid stuff and make mistakes. We're good people with interesting things to say though and we like to keep up with our friends so we continue to hang in there and use facebook.
