PayPal Plug-In

Have you guys heard about the new PayPal plug-in that allows you to checkout on ANY site using PayPal? They create a mini "credit card" for each transaction (no credit required...it just takes the money from your PayPal balance and creates a CC number). It sounds AWESOME...cause how many times have I been to a site and wanted to checkout, just to have to ask DH to use his credit card (which we don't like doing).

Unfortunately, it doesn't work in countries outside the US at this point. Which is a bummer for me, lmao. But, I'm interested in hearing how well it works, if anyone has tried it?

i've used it a few times.

it's cool how it can autofill your info.

i recently ordered from Lands End using it but later regretted it b/c if I have to rtn my LE stuff I don't know how they'd credit my acct back since I don't have an actual card. some places will just take it off the receipt, some places won't.

also right now Paypal has some sort of promo to credit back 2% of purchases made with paypal using your bank acct.

I just use my credit card. Which I'm getting better about NOT doing, LOL! It comes out of my bank account or I don't get it. Period. (Can you tell I'm really making an effort to be better about my spending issues? LOL!)

On the other hand...I could USE it to get my Mac online and not have to transfer money, etc.

I was wondering if anyone has used this as well... sounds pretty neat (although dangerous for me b/c it's so easy to checkout with paypal - LOL!)

I need to check into it, and see if the plugin is mac-compatible...

I hope it will work in Canada soon, I don't have a credit card, and I hate asking my DH for his...then he knows I am spending more money online.

I hope they have it working in Canada soon! we dont have cc so it would be nice to order photo's etc from places that don't accept paypal without having to borrow my mom's then pay her back etc.
