Party Planners Help Me Out

My son is turning 5 this weekend (party is Feb. 6) and I need a few activity/game ideas. It's a reptile themed party. It will be him and 3 of his friends. Each of those friends has a younger sibling 2-3 years old who will be here. Ideally I'd like to have activities I could adapt for the younger ones too, but I'd be ok with one or two things just for the 5 year olds.

Last year he had a dino party and we made a volcano that we erupted and then went on a dino-egg and fossil hunt. It was a hit, but I'm a little more clueless this year.

Decorating ideas are appreciated too. We will have a croc cake and pinata.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

We had a bug/reptile theme a couple of years ago. I actually had a lady from the local zoology center come and do activities with the kids and they brought animals for them to meet and touch. We had snakes, lizards, ect. It was a HUGE hit. You might check and see if there is something like that in your area. We actually got a tax deduction for it too because it was a non profit organization! I didn't have to do anything other than the cake and invites! It was awesome. Your local zoo maybe able to help you find something along these lines too. If you want some pics, just message me and I will send you a few. :)

I love my invites (I did them when I was paper scrapping so I don't have a picture). It had bugs and reptiles on them and said things like "slither on by on ..... RSVP to my favorite pest controllers......" :)

For the kiddos goody bags, we had plastic lizards, frogs, candy and pencils in a small metal buckets that included a magnifying glass for future bug/reptile hunting adventures. :)

I can think of a kit of yours that would be PERFECT for that party! :)

Here is a link to more party ideas. This is my favorite website for this kind of thing.....

Well I know pin the tail on the donkey is fun. You could do something with a reptile. Crocodile, alligator or lizard of some type. Scavenger hunts are fun. You could give the kids a list (with pictures instead of words) and have them try to find everything on the list. Find a picture online of various reptiles and print them out and give the kids various items to decorate them with (glitter, pom-poms, pipe cleaners, markers, crayons, foam shapes etc).

If I think of anything else I will post more

LOL - yep, I used some of the animals in that kit on the invites. :)

Thanks for all the ideas. We have a reptile zoo out here that the kiddos love. They will do parties, but their fee was out of our budget for this year. :(

I'll be checking out the website. Thanks!
