FULL NAME :Kimberly Morris
1- Bonjour Kimberly. Peux-tu te présenter à nos lecteurs ? (Qui es-tu, où habites-tu, travailles-tu, ta famille ?)
Hi Kimberly. Could you introduce yourself to our readers? (Who are you, where do you live, you work, your family?)
Hello, my name is Kimberly Morris. I live in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee with my husband and adorable 3 year old Son. I spend my time taking care of my family, scrapping, taking photographs and giving my Kindle a good workout.
2- A quelle période as-tu découvert le scrap digital ? Et comment ?
When did you discover the digital scrapbooking? And how?
I paper scrapbooked for 6 years before I made the switch to Digital. When I found out I was pregnant with my Son I had to give up my craft room in order to make it a nursery. In a last effort to keep scrapbooking I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop and a few free kits...the rest is history as they say.
3- Qu’aimes-tu le plus dans cette activité ?
As a mother of a small child with special needs my “me” time is almost non-existent. I stay up late at night after everyone is in bed and just create. It’s my release so to speak.
4- Sur quels logiciels scrappes-tu ? Les maitrisais-tu avant ?
Which software do you scrap? You used them before?
I am currently using Photoshop Elements 7.0 and I just love it! I’m sure eventually I’ll switch to the full version of Photoshop but right now I’m content with what I have.
5- Combien de temps passes-tu pour créer une page ?
How much time do you spend to create a page?
It varies. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so I will move things and tweak shadows for far too long before I’m completely satisfied with my page. I would say on an average each page takes somewhere between 2-3 hours.
6- Comment définirais-tu ton style ?
How do you define your style?
My style is pretty over the top. When I use a kit I tend to use nearly everything in it. I try to pack as much as I can on a page without it all overshadowing the photos.
7- As-tu des produits ou designers préférés ?
Do you have any favorite designers or products?
My favorite Designer is Kristin Cronin-Barrow from Sweet Shoppe Designs. I just recently was asked to join her creative team and I am in absolute heaven!
8- Es-tu aussi une personne active dans cette communauté ? Participes-tu à des CT, forums, etc … ?
Are you also a person active in this community? Involved are you in CT, forums, etc ...?
I am very fortunate to create for some amazing Designers. Kristin Cronin-Barrow, Studio Flergs, Penny Springmann, Sugarplum Paperie, Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs, Farynar’s Wings, Tickled Pink Studios, ChrissyW Digital, eNKay Designs, Ju Kneipp Designs, The Daily Digi and Digi Shop Talk.
9- Quel est ton secret pour BIEN finaliser une page ?
What are your secret to a complete page?
To me the most important part of any page is the journaling. If you put some energy into telling the story your page is going to be extra special.
10- Dépenses-tu beaucoup dans cette passion ?
Do you spend a lot of money in this hobbie?
You would think with as many Designers that I work for that I wouldn’t but yes, far far too much.
11- As-tu d’autres passions en dehors du scrap digital ?
I am an avid reader. I devour books more than I actually read them.
12- Quelle période de la journée préfères-tu ? Et pourquoi ?
After 9:00 pm is the only time I’m never really alone so that’s when I end up scrapbooking. Everyone is in bed so I don’t have to stop every few minutes to answer questions, make snacks, kiss boo-boos etc.
13- As-tu des projets particuliers pour les mois à venir ?
Oh yes. My best friend and I share a birthday month so we are going camping with both of our families to celebrate. We live 4 hours apart so any time we get to spend together is wonderful!
14- Peux-tu nous dévoiler 3 choses te concernant ?
I love being a Mother, more than anything else in the world it’s my greatest calling and most wonderful gift.
After 7 years I’m still madly and crazy in love with my husband. When it’s almost time for him to get home from work I always spray on a little perfume and make sure my hair is smooth. I still get the flutters.
I’ve been very blessed by the digital scrapbooking community. I get so much support and encouragement. I am a very lucky girl.
