Page sizes

OK, I use Scrapbook Factory Deluxe for all my scrap pages and as I am sure some of you have noticed that when I shrink them they come out really bad. What is the correct sizing for 150K layout. I am really dense when it comes to stuff like this so any help is greatly appreciated.
 
I size mine to 500x500 for the gallery. That said, sometimes I have to reduce my optimization to fit w/in the file size limits
 
I use PS I can just put 150 down for size and it automatically does it for me..not sure how to work your program though :( sorry
 
If you can contol the pixel size and the resolution, you want to change the resolution to 72 first, then change the pixel size to what you want it to be.

I know that in PS we have the option to play with the optimization settings to bring down the file size, but you may not have that. I would first bring your resolution down to 72, because you don't need anything more than that on the web. Then play with the pixel size to bring yourself under the 150kb. It may vary from page to page, because I've found that brighter pages, more element heavy, etc. are larger in file size.

Oh, now that should help me out a bit...I will try it for the next layout. THANKS so much
 
PSE has a save for web option, so I'm not much help, either. There was a big thread at DST recently about resizing for the gallery that might help you if ya wanna search for it.
