Oh wow that really sucks. Ive had two kids have pnuemonia in the past and I know how rough it is when the kids are sick. Hope she is doing better today.
UPDATE- Marley's xray was not much worse, she didn't have lung effusion and she tested negative for flu (which can make pneumonia turn into staph- so that's good news). They want to treat the pneumonia with a third antibiotic and she now also has an ear infection just to compound her situation. They told me what to look out for and when to head to the ER- we'll be back at the doctor before the weekend. : ( My poor baby...
As we speak she's in my lap with a 101.7 fever and coughing... I'm really hoping we don't end up having to go to the hospital, but she seems worse now than she was at the doc just 2 hours ago. She really has us scared... trying to hold her and sidetrack myself....
Sending prayers your way Stephanie! I'm sorry that she is so sick. I've been there before and it is so scary! Hang in there and know that we're thinking about you!!
Thanks ladies- no trips to Dell Children's hospital ER yet so that's good news. I'm home with her today and keeping a close eye. I have 4 IEP meetings tomorrow, so she'll have to stay with grandma again, but today we're going to snuggle on the couch and hopefully see some improvement.
I REALLY appreciate your thoughts and prayers- you ladies are the best!
Stephanie, my boy got really sick with pneumonia twice, when he was little and it was so scary. I could feel the heat coming from his feet even, he was SO hot and SO sick.
I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and hoping she starts to feel better very soon. Hang in there mama.
She went from 11:30 last night until 6:00 without a fever... of course it came back, but that's the longest fever-free stretch we've had... let's hope she's turning a corner!
