I got a call from my fiance telling me had gotten a call from his mom. Seems she's been having tests done at the hospital for a suspected cyst in/on her intestines...they have come to the conclusion that it is NOT a cyst. It appears to be a tumor and they are waiting for further results from her most recent test which she will get next week. If you have a mind to could you please send some P & PT her way.

Thank you everyone...please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I spoke with her today and got a bit more information.
She has a mass at the end of her large intestine...it has to come out so whe will be having surgery no matter what. she goes in Tues and Thurs for MRI and CT scans and will meet with the surgeon on Feb. 3rd to get the results and schedule her surgery.

I'm just heartbroken over this...I love this woman more than words can say and she just means the world to me. She's pretty positive about things so far...so that is good.

So yeah, I'm sitting here in tears because I just got the call about 30 mins ago. It's cancer...I hate that word and I hate what it does to people and the fear it puts in your heart when you hear it in relationship to someone you love.

The short version is that she has a 6mm tumor and will begin radiation treatment and chemotherapy this week with surgery in about 3 months. The good news is that it hasn't spread.

If you could all please continue sending positive thoughts and prayers I would be ever so grateful!
