Today is the day of Lena's hysterectomy. She actually should be surgery right now. She was super nervous about everything. I know it will lift her spirit when she is able to see this.

I am going to try and send her one of these patient greetings:

Her "correct name" is Jolena Brandenburg if anyone else wants to send one too :). I hope it works, the hospital she's at isn't listed in the facility list but I'm going to try anyway. She is at St. Joseph London.

Thanks Tab! I caught her on Facebook already this morning before she left. All my thoughts and prayers are with her.

ETA: I tried sending a message through the hospital also. I put Saint Joseph London in the area for her room number. I hope she gets it. Thanks for posting Tabatha.

She's out of surgery, it went well but took a bit longer than they at thought. She'll be recovery for about 45 minutes before she makes it to her room.

Will let you girls know if I hear anything else!
 
Hope she is doing well. I sent her a message on there as well. Not sure she will know it is me because I used my name not screenname LOL. If it doesnt go through just tell her I hope she has a quick/speedy recovery!!
 
I'm sending prayers and positive thoughts Lena's way today and also the following days. Hope everything goes well.
 
Hey girls! I talked to Lena and James a little while ago. She had a rough time in the recovery room. She was in a LOT of pain and they had to come in and give an epidural in the recovery room! It helped a little bit but not full pain relief. They were finally able to manage her pain and she's more comfortable now thankfully! She's not feeling that great understandably. She really appreciates all the prayers and thoughts from you girls! Maybe she'll be able to check in later (hugs)!

Thank you so much girlies! Honestly, this is a pain like none I've ever felt before...so much worse than my 3 c-sections and it has thrown me for a bit of a loop. I'll update more later this week as I get a better grip on the pain. To the best of my knowledge, what is making the pain so much more intense is a combination of the interstitial cystitis and the fact that he had to make a vertical incision for the surgery. It is a bit disheartening but between Tab, my boyfriend and my mom, I'm being very well cared for! A strange tidbit: my nurse, last night, passed out while talking with me. Just fainted right on the floor next to me. I pretty much panicked. Still don't know exactly what happened but it was scary!
