Do you ever have one of these days...
It's about 11:00 am and I'm putting a meal together for a family that just had a baby. I'm tearing the chicken apart when my son gets hurt outside. I go investigate and I see my two sons playing in all the leaves that my husband cleaned out of the gutters on Saturday. It's been raining since then so we haven't bagged them and they are now spread all over the deck and my boys now HAVE to have a bath.
So, I lock them outside until I can at least get the chicken done. I clean out my bath tub (it's big and they love to play in it) so they can play awhile in the bath while I finish the casserole. And, I'm also planning on making pigs in a blanket for them while they are bathing and I'm cooking.
Enter the phone ringing. It's my daughter's school nurse saying Brooke has an earache and she has to come home. Soooo, instead of bathing my boys properly I strip them, throw them in the tub, rinse them off and then redress them.
Have I mentioned that I still haven't had a shower after getting home from my step class at the Y? I'm in leotards that I would not DARE walk into my daugher's school in. So, I have to redress myself and put clean clothes on my sweaty, stinky, body! I throw the torn up chicken in the fridge to finish later.
So, I call the doctor to make an appointment, go through the drive thru to get the kids some lunch, run Liam up for a short nap before it's time to go to the doctor and then stop by my computer b/c I have to see what's going on at SSD
Now, it's off to finish the casserole, take a shower, run off to the doctor and then drive 35 minutes to drop this dinner off! Okay - I'm officially tired. It was supposed to be a laid back day today!!!!
