one little word...

This is my first year doing One Little Word. I've decided my word will be joy. Last year was probably the hardest of my life. I have spent all of my time trying to chip away at problems, plan for the future, and simply slog through each day. I have lost any sense of fun and trying to get enjoyment out of life in the moment. It has all become very serious. For 2013 I want to bring joy into my life. I want to make a conscious effort to create happiness. DH really likes the idea of OLW and now he is trying to pick a word.

I've decided this year I am going to go with achieve. I have a lot of things I want to achieve in 2013 and I think this will help me stay on track.

Last year I did LIVE and I absolutely loved it. I chose it because I wanted to make a lot of changes to help me live better- health-wise, family-wise, and mentally.

I was going to keep it again for this year, but I think I'm going to go with THRIVE. I want to learn to thrive on healthy things like family time, being in the Word, and also by eating and being active.

Also- I mentioned this on Laura's FB, but wanted to say it again in case you missed it/aren't on her FB. We have a local company who makes all things clay. They do these awesome wristbands & pendants with a word or two on them. I had one last year as a constant reminder to LIVE. And I'm going to get one that says THRIVE for this year. They do customs, as well.

And the coolest thing about it is for every $5 you spend, you give an African clean drinking water for a year. :)

I have one I wear all the time that says courage. I bought it because it reminded me of my son and husband. I also bought one for my daughter. I dont remember what hers says. Then I bought her and her hubby ones that say ♥11.11.11♥ (their anniversary)

Thank you! I've been looking for something with my word and this is perfect! Just ordered one!

So I think I found my OLW....give

I just want to give more and take less.
Give more love.
Give forgiveness.
Give to charities.
Give to my family.
Give my time.

Haha, my word I picked for 2012 is still on my 'to scrap' list, go figure. :) I think I just need to keep it for 2013. It's 'action'. Oh, the irony :p
