one heck of a day...

Here in lovely Colorado, we've been having really warm weather. As in, high 70's and sunny and just plain warm. But we woke up this morning to crazy-cold winds and blowing snow!!
Unfortunately, this was the same day as a car show fundraiser for Cam's school. There were a bunch of hot rods and show cars that came out, but the weather was so crappy that it was hard to enjoy. Cameron entered a model car in their model car show for the students, but we didn't get to stay long enough to see if he won. My dad took his hot rod, which was a big deal because these car guys do NOT take their cars out in bad weather. But everyone was so great and supportive of the school that it turned out to be a very cold, but relatively fun show. Here is a pic of my boys and my dad with his hotrod. You can see the blowing snow against the black of his car. :)

now those are some HOT rides!! I love classic cars ... *drool*

we've been having weather like that for the past two weeks, today it is finally nice enough that the kiddos are outside playing.

I LOVE old hot rods! That car is way cool Jenny!!

If i had known I would've sent some of our warm weather your way! I got sunburned on my arms today at the shelter's off site.

I so totally can't imagine! Those cars look awesome and how great that people still brought them out!

yikes, can't believe you got snow. (well maybe i can b/c it's been pretty chilly today here.)
great looking car!

I couldn't believe the weather here this morning either. Still getting used to this Colorado weather. Seems like spring means either 70 or snowing - not much in between. Poor Alison had a soccer game at 8:30 when it was snowing pretty hard. I opted to stay home with Maya who was still sleeping.

How nice that the cars still showed up. I hope the school raised lots of money. :)

Yeah, the weather here has been crazy like that too!

I'm glad some of the cars still came out to support the school...that's really sweet! :)

That sounds like some seriously crazy weather... but, I'm glad everything turned out good for you guys. I know how my dad is about his "baby" (a fully restored 68 Charger) and there is no way he would take it out if it's not sunny without a cloud in the sky! LOL!!!

Great pic of your dad and boys!!! :)

You know...I am jealous over the car (very very cool indeed) but not jealous over your weather! Thanks for sharing the photo!
