Sometimes when you play online through the PS3 other online players will use bad language, but he and dh just bought an expansion pack for Call of Duty and the game is using the F bomb! ACK!!!

So gory violence=ok, F-word, not so much? :D I have more issues with all the shooting and gore than I do with any language that could be in the game but then, I won't even stay in the same room when my DH plays it, haha.

It's rated M. Every game that Andrew has that's rated M has the f-bomb in it numerous times.

I know what it's rated and I've gotten used to the violence because it's what my dh and him do together, but I've never heard that word on there. I made him mute it! I just look at it as a combat/war game.

Isn't that funny? I'm not as worried about the violence, but I hate the language. My girlfriend lets her kids watch all kind of questionable shows and movies, but doesn't let her son play Call of D because of the shooting.

Ok, I just asked my dh about it and he said he's only heard it when 2 players are on, but not when you're in single player mode. Why is that?????

DH loves COD. I know when you lose a match while playing live, it says "We just got our a**es beat" or something like that. I'm not sure if it does when you play story mode. I've heard the f word on there too, but I can't remember what had happened in the game. Since it's mature, they can say anything I guess.
And when you play online you have no idea what you will hear since anyone playing can say whatever they want.

I know, it always cracks me up! To be fair, I really only have issues with Call of Duty because it's a war game and my DH is in the military. I just can't watch soldiers being killed, it's just a bit too intense for me. But it totally doesn't bother my DH at all. He says he thinks it's a boy thing. :D

my boys both have this game but dont really play it much. I did not notice any curse words but then I make them turn the volume way down when they play because the constant sound effects annoy me LOL. I dont like war games just because I find them boring. Since my kids are a little older though the violence and cursing does not bother me much. They know right from wrong and understand that its just a game

I totally get that.

There's also a Nazi Zombie mode and that totally doesn't bother me because I don't consider zombies to be people and dh and I are huge zombie movie fans... so I consider it 'training'

there are ALOT more than just that being said on there. My foster child whose almost 18 was playing and they talk abot doing drugs etc...I told him to turn off the sound I didnt want to hear what any of them had to say..and he didn't need to be listening to it...it's quite offensive how alot of people don't watch what they're saying on there considering there are alot of different ages that play the game.

Joel isn't allowed to play that game until Luke is inb ed... and even then he has to have the sound low or muted. LOL

on COD? i've never heard any of that on there and we have the last 2 games. was he online or something?

I don't know what an M rating means, but over here that game is rated 16, and with a rating like that I think some swearing is fair enough. I'd be more worried about the violence than the swearing too.

Yeah, if it's rated M, I figure all bets are off. I have to admit my kids have heard me drop the F bomb occasionally. I wouldn't be offended by it on a game rated M, but I'd wait until they were older to play it.

Luckily DH isn't a gamer, and the kids still only play Mario. It would be ME playing something like this! LOL!
