OMG I am just SICK!!!

My mom just called and told me that it was a good thing DH just got paid from a job that he's just about finished (he's a drywaller & painter). Anyways, the house that DH just renovated was 100+ years old and gorgeous!

And today it burned to the ground. In a matter of minutes... the part that made me physically ill, and I'm still feeling that way is the fact that DH was going to work there today! I'm SO glad that he was at another job instead! The "what-if's" keep running through my mind. What if he was there... what if he didn't smell smoke until it was too late... what if he couldn't get out... what if, what if....

I'm seriously just about in tears. As much for the fact that I feel SO bad for the couple that lost their home they've been renovating for 5 years and the fact that they just left like 3 days ago for a nice vacation, and for the fact that I could very easily have lost my husband if he had been there working...

Any hugs would be super appreciated right now!
 
Oh man Jae! That's so scary! I'm glad your DH is ok! That poor couple, I can't imagine losing my home this time of year. :(
 
(((hugs))) to you! And my heart goes out to that family...I cannot begin to imagine losing my home.

The what-ifs are the worst...hope that you can get past them soon (been there and they're no fun)
 
well praise God he was watching over your family. That is just insane. i can't imagine how shook up you are. Big Big Hugs to you!!!
 
ohmygosh, Jaedyn! That is so scary! I'm glad he wasn't at work today and I'm so sorry for the family that lost their home.

Awwww...(((HUGS))) Well at least he was NOT there...and yeah, that poor family!! :( That's a really long time to be renovating, and to have it all be gone in such a short amount of time :(
