(I'm not pregnant. LOL)

No seriously, I applied for the 2013 Genghis Grill Health Kwest a few weeks ago. They choose 1 finalist from each of their locations to compete for $10k! The winner will be the person who loses the biggest % of body weight and accumulates the most points earned via social media tasks.

You guys!!!

I just found out I was chosen as a finalist to represent Wichita-East!!!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I was shaking and crying on the phone when they called to tell me. LOL I can't stop smiling!

I'll get more details next week, but basically, I have to eat at GG every day for 60 days (for free) as I strive to lose weight. I'm not sure what the social media tasks will entail, but last year it involved blogging and asking friends to vote (so don't be surprised if I'm begging for votes later).

Did I mention that the winner gets $10,000?!?!?

If that's not motivation to stick to a diet, nothing is!!!!!

I'm still in complete disbelief. I can't stop smiling!!!!

WOW!! That is awesome Libby! I have never heard of Genghis Grill (must not be around here) but free food for 60 days and a chance of winning 10000 is awesome!! Yay!
 
I'm glad you started off by quashing any rumors of pregnancy because that is the first thing I thought of when I saw the title, lol.

... and congrats on getting selected! That is awesome!

Julie, it's a Mongolian Stir-Fry place. You go down this buffet line and fill your bowl with raw ingredients that you want. You pick your own meat, veggies, seasonings, sauces, starches, etc. Then at the end of the line, you give your bowl to them and they cook it up for you.

It's SO good! I'd never been there until Jeff and I started dating, but now it's one of my favorite places to eat. :)
 
I have to admit the first thing I thought was baby. :) But this is pretty cool, too! So excited for you!
 
Yay! Congratulations!! We have a Genghis here and love it. Much healthier than other restaurant options.

Carrie, that's right! Once the contest starts, I'll eat there for 1 meal every day for 60 days. It's not far from my house... couple of miles. I'm gonna HAVE to step up my exercise though (step up = actually start). Cause I'm in it to win it! :)

I agree! No one can rock online participation like a scrapper!!! :)

Can't wait to hear what you have to do with social media!
 
Wow, that's motivation! Congrats on being chosen. The restaurant sounds great, too. We don't have it here, but I'd definitely eat there if we did.
