Did I miss a thread on this? I searched and I couldn't find one for 2025...

What is your one little word for 2025? Do you pick a word... do you do anything special to keep it up in front of your thinking for the year, or do you do like me pick one, get excited about it... and then forget about it, haha.

This year my son graduates high school... which I've homeschooled him this whole time... he moves to college in the fall... and I will have to find something to do for my next chapter...

So my word for 2025 is Transforming.

In case you don't know about this movement... One Little Word is a project registered to Ali Edwards. https://aliedwards.com/one-little-word-2025

I thought at the end of 2024 that I had the perfect word. Then I realized it was the exact word I had used for 2024 that I kept forgetting was my word. So I still haven't come up with a new one. I had heal. I am unsure still.

I love the whole concept of One Little Word, and I do it instead of New Year's Resolutions. I try to find a word that encompasses the idea of what I want to focus on or change in the coming year.

I'm still struggling to come up with my word for 2025. I usually read through the lists of words on Ali's old blog entries and one or two will jump out and just resonate deeply with me, and inevitably that's what I pick.

Guess I know what's first on my to-do list for tomorrow morning... :)

Mine is "align."

I change my Facebook cover photo to my word + have a piece of jewelry created with it off Etsy. This particular year, I am creating mini weekly goals for my word that I'm adding to and checking off in my planner.

Hahahaha. This is me. Every year I make a list of words that I’m considering and then look back at previous years and it’s like basically the same list :D

I’m still narrowing mine down. I’ve come to realize that getting all the end of the year celebrations done AND do all the planning for the next year is just too much for me in November/December, so I’ve been saving the planning for January when there’s some down time and less pressure.

I didn't think about it until Jan 1st. lol But I gave it some thought throughout the day and came up with: Steps

I do tend to forget that I've chosen a word or made resolutions, etc as the year progresses. I should print out my layout and have it nearby as a reminder. :)

I don't think I have ever chose a word. I think I give and do so much in December that come January when it is time to choose a word I am burnt out and it feels overwhelming. I do set NY resolutions and goals though.

I haven't yet. I chose my 2024 word in November of 2023 though so timing isn't the priority for me, clearly. Last year's was intentional and being more intentional with my time (cutting out social media, practicing saying no, playing more video games with my son, reading more books, embracing positive changes wholeheartedly) has brought me to a much better place in my life.

Now that I'm typing all this out, I'm thinking maybe sustain. Put in the work to keep this momentum going and keep my life more peaceful and calm. 2024 was significantly less anxiety attacks than prior years and I don't want to go back to that.

I don't tend to choose a word. I like the intent, but I'm so forgetful it wouldn't be worth it. :D

I had a word last year - and it was a great word. A week into the year I forgot what the word was. This year I conscientiously chose not to pick a word. My follow-thru sucks.

I usually pick a word. Some have been more successful than others. This year, I am still trying to come up with one that covers the things I want to do better this year. I need to spend my money more wisely, stop being so impulsive, epsecially about purchases, get my Mast Cell disease under better control and make better choices all the way around. I am not sure there is one word that covers all that. LOL I did mindful and few years ago and it may be time to revisit that one again.
