I didn't get the other job.. they said I was too over qualified....

So... I have an interview at 4 today for an office manager position at a country club. It sounds super fun.. in charge of newsletters, web pages, facebook, twitter, marketing, club events and that kind of thing.

Wish me luck?

Good luck. Sending good interview vibes and prayers. I hate interviews myself so I understand.

Fingers crossed and sending lots of prayers and luck!!!

On a side note....I REALLY hate it when they say you are over qualified. I mean, come on...that is ridiculous!! When we first moved to Crystal Lake I had an interview for a teaching job...they said I was over qualified.....wouldn't you want someone who had experience teaching your first grader!?!?!?!?! GRRRRRRRR It boiled down to....they couldn't afford me...too many years of teaching and too many hours towards a master's degree....

Good luck! That does sound like a fun job!

I do hate it when they say you're "overqualified." Who would want the least qualified employee? I guess it means that they know that they can't pay you what you're really worth and they're afraid that you'll leave as soon as something better comes along. So, it's sort of a compliment. But discouraging.
