Ok, who has read the Twilight series??

OMG, I am TOTALLY hooked on these books!! I have whipped through one and two and am desperately waiting for three to arrive. I also found a copy of the first chapter of the new book online today. Antonio thinks I need an intervention. :p So is anyone else here addicted to these books??
 
I bought the first one months ago but haven't read it yet. Iknow that when I do I'll want to read the other 2. LOL! So I'm waiting til I have time to devote to THREE books. :)
 
I had only bought the first one and after 3 hours straight of reading I had to go order the other two. Then a mistake on Amazon's part sent me the third one in Spanish, so I had to reorder it and it has yet to arrive! Grrr....
 
Um yes, definitely read them, and love them! Libby, they are pretty quick reads! It wouldn't be too hard to get all 3 done in a week. :) I want to read them again, but I'm waiting until the 4th comes out!
 
SO addicted right here!LOL (check out my flair) I just finished The Host yesterday and although it's not part of the series, Stephenie wrote another fabulous book! I can't wait for Breaking Dawn!!!
 
I read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn today!! Someone had posted it online...I can't wait to read the whole thing!!

Someone leaked it early I guess or got their special addition copy of Eclipse early. I read some stores were already selling them!!
 
I read all three in a week because I had to know what happened! I just bought her new one but haven't started it yet.
 
My daughter read them first last year. She is a voracious reader at 12. Then, coincidentally, my sister read them and loaned me her copies. I enjoyed the first and third books (second was a bit slow), but I couldn't believe she didn't warn me about some of the content that I would need to discuss with DD...it gets a little PG-13ish there (book 3, I think?). Don't get me wrong, we have had age-appropriate conversations about her body and sex since she was quite young, but I still like to be aware so that she can get the facts, along with our version of morality, rather than have her ideas about romance and love be molded only by Hollywood, etc.

We are excited about the next book...nothing like Harry Potter excited, but still looking forward to a summer read.
 
Another fan here! I'm one of the few ladies who are on Team Jacob - and rightly so...he's H-O-T! (108.9 to be exact!)

I loved the series! Can't wait for the next book to come out! Although I don't think the casting for the movie does the characters justice.
 
Agreed about the characters in the movie. I'm not planning on seeing the movie in the theaters...too much $$...I'd rather buy the books.
 
hmm, I am intrigued. but also afraid to read books about vampires. :blink: I read the Anne Rice books but since having kids I have turned into a very big wuss.
 
Not your typical vamp book...at least I think...I don't go around reading vampire books...I don't do horror. It's really more of a juvenile romance book that just dabbles in this other realm. Nothing too freaky at all. From one wuss to antother. :)

I have read the first one. Did it in about 10hrs!!! I was hooked! I have the next two but I know I will be consumed so I have not started the 2nd yet. I am waiting for the kids to get out of school so I won't have to put the book down to go any where!!! I plan on popping in a few movies and just letting the kids go at it!!! I absolutely loved the first book so I am stoked about the next 2!!!:thumbup:

Yep, they are in the teen genre, so so much tamer than the Ann Rice books. More romance, less gore:) Perfect!
 
I am actually OK with the movie casting of Edward, it may be though that I had already seen who was playing him before starting the series, so the actor was already in my head as Edward from the start!
 
I still have to finish Harry Potter and I'm on book 5 now but I plan to get the Twilight books after hearing so many good things about them!

Do any of you get books at half.com? I put a few kids series books up there for sale and was wondering if they will even sell because I seem to be a dope and pay full price for my books! LOL!

Hmm me too, but I love romance novels though so I'm thinking I'm going to take a trip to the Library tomorrow to see if they have them!
 
Ok I just logged into my library account & requested the first available copies of the books!! Looks like there are a couple of copies of Twilight due back in the next few days so hopefully I'll get the call soon! Of course I can't tell how many people might be ahead of me on the list though.

I just watched the movie trailer online & realized that before when I saw the trailer on tv I thought it looked really good! I didn't realize until now that was the movie based on the book!
 
Omgoodness they have been my latest obsession! LOL! I just discovered them about a month ago and dissappeared for 3 days while I read them. (yeah 3 days! haha!) Since then I have reead each book 3x and finished The Host which I also LOVED! I am anxiously awainting Aug 2! :)

I am STILL waiting for my flipping third book to get here!! I am seriously about to learn Spanish so I can read the stupid mistake one Amazon sent me! LOL
 
A friend of mine got really into these books and raved and raved about them. I haven't read them yet but after hearing all the good things about them I think I may have to soon!
