it said on the news tonight we might be seeing low 60's maybe high 50's and my husband (who is from New Jersey originally) says we need to turn on the heat in the morning. WHAT?? I said no way. Put on a sweatshirt if you are cold cause that is just cool not cold and we might not have to run the AC but we will if he turns on the heat!!

We had frost last night. :( And I'm gettin' in crap cuz I like to have the windows open at night and DH wants the heat on. Big suck. LOL

I'm from NJ too. I wouldn't turn on the heat for those temps unless it stayed in the 50s for over two weeks. ;)

yea he is nuts if he thinks Im gonna have the heat on at all tonight or tomrrow

I am just happy that we dont have to run the AC all day from when we get up. It felt hotter then ever this summer in Florida...to me anyhow. I am getting to where I hate the heat. Wouldnt be quite so bad but there are only a handful of truly cold days here and there are like nine stright months of heat.

We've had frost for the last couple of nights, and last night I lit the fire for the first time - so good. My SO always says to put on a jumper, but i can't handle a cold house, so the fire will be on. We have lots of wood left over from when my parents lived here, as they moved to a flat with a gas fireplace, so he can't complain about the fire as it's free:)

Yah, it's 42 here this AM. I LOOVE this weather. We don't have our heat on yet...even though I want to. DH and the baby are hot blooded and would whine.

yeah - it is cool here, too, but I am not putting on the heat. It's way too early. This weekend we'll shut the storm windows & it will be a lot warmer in here.

I have my heat set to kick on at 67 I think, but the house is so insulated with earth it has to stay in the low 50s all day to reach that temp inside. Probably a couple more weeks before we see the heater coming on at night

Our house was 69 this morning, and even Jordan said "man it's cold in here" when he got out of bed this morning. That my friends, is some sort of a miracle because he is a FURNACE and I'm always cold. And he was sweet enough to offer to bring my bathrobe to the bed so I wouldn't get too cold getting up this morning. :)

For one or two nights I would leave it off, but that cold is COLD for me and I would really have a hard time keeping the heat off.

I know what you mean... I've been prolonging turning on the heat! I don't want to burn up oil when you can just put on a sweater or use a blanket. My kids aren't cold in the house, and that's what matters most to me. When they get cold, I'll turn on the heat. Me, I'll wait til I freeze before I give in to it! lol! After just filling my oil tank today, I'm not looking forward to doing it again I can tell you that!

We had to turn on our heat this week, its been so cold which is weird cause it was 85 all last week. Now it feels like late fall.

my heat has been on for the past week or so ... lows of 35*F, highs of 50* ... yeah, heat is needed. The forecast is saying lows this coming week of 28* ... with snow and rain mix. blech

i turned my furnace on last night. i was up nursing the babe at midnight and i was freezing......i looked at the thermostat and it was like 59 in my house  that's way to cold to be sitting here for an hour or two with the ole boobies hangin' out :D :D :D so one the furnace went

Hehe - yeah it was mid-60s up here in Panama City this morning. When were getting in the car, my 4 yr. old Claire said, "Mommy I didn't wear my jacket today." I said "no big deal." And she said "but it's freeeeezing!" Hehe! I told her this was definitely not freezing. She did wear jeans today, though. I have a feeling by the time I pick her up from preschool at noon she will wish she would have worn shorts. :)
