OK- that just annoys me

I might not agree with you and your political beliefs but I sure as hell am not going to stand up and act a fool to interrupt your speech.

Grow up people.

Some idiot started yelling something, interrupted the speech and was running down the aisle (in a shiny pink shirt with something written on it) and the security had to forcibly (but nicely) remover her. I actually think there were more than one.

The shiny pink shirt also disturbed me.

I am watching it...but I am on a delay so I have not seen it yet...can't wait  I saw someone get pulled out last nite too but no pink shiny shirt !!

Totally agree. It was two people that I saw and they were showing the peace sign with their fingers so IM guessing it had something to do with protesting the war? Really ticks me off that they would do something like that. I mean if you are gonna protest fine but do it outside and allow Mccain the same right to say his speech as the other politicians that have already delivered theirs. Id say the lady was real lucky she was not hurt badly in doing that because really they dont know what her intentions were

I thought I saw someone holding a banner up that said McCain doesn't support vets or something like that. It was a guy though and he wasn't in pink.

I absolutely loved McCain's response to it. Made me wonder if it was off-the-cuff, or something that was planned just in case something like that happened.

One of them yelled, "End the war!!!" That was about all I got out of the chaos. I'm not a McCain supporter, but geez, let the man speak already.

I did a search for the name that was mentioned earlier in this thread and a post dated September 1st said something along the lines of protest at RNC (republican national convention) So Im guessing they might have had some idea it was going to happen?

My workout group was discussing it this morning. Apparently Code Pink is some fringe group that splintered off of Cindy Sheehan's movement?

I'm not a McCain supporter but I think that kind of protesting is just disrespectful and really turns most people off.

totally. did we have any hecklers at the DNC?!?

There was an assassination attempt apparently and protesters outside but I think that even if there had been hecklers when Obama spoke they wouldn't have been heard since they were in an outdoor football stadium and all.

There are always crazies on each side of the fence.

I saw that too but am also wondering about the person toward the end who was put on camera in the crowd and he suddenly realized it and treated the camera as if it was paparazzi (sp?) - covering the camera lens with his hand and then quickly moving out of the shot LOL....

Yeah I thought it was quite disrespective. Im not a Mccain supporter but felt horrible for the man He does deserve the right to speak without some moron running around making a fuss like that.

Yep. Quite a bit of class they had there huh:glare: . And the protesters outside- real good example for being against the war and against violence. Way to get your point across- throw bricks and act like animals.

The beauty of living in a free country is the freedom to act like an idiot.

While I agree that you do have the freedom to act like an idiot, I do not agree that it's okay to do it disrespectfully to other people around you.

People acting like a bunch of wackos just pisses me off...

Haahaaaahaha! I agree, and for some reason just about spit my pepsi out on the computer screen laughing. The code pink stunt was tackier than a wardrobe change at a Madonna concert (I love Huckabee) :D
