that I'm never going to have this baby :cursing: I had an appt this am..and for the 2nd week in a row I'm only a ONE....a freaking ONE why be dilated at all if I'm only going to be a ONE for 2 freaking weeks??????

Can ya tell I'm a bit annoyed? I'm huge, miserable, can't sleep, want to eat everything, tired of R using my belly as a chair, want to see my toes...need I go on??

ty for listening to me vent

Oh Meg I was at the point where you are now exactly a year ago so I can totally commiserate! So vent away! I'll send labor vibes your way so that baby girl will decide to come on out!!

Awwwww! Baby girl come out and meet hte world! We want to see you and your momma needs a BREAK! Lol!

I'm really sorry Meg, that has to be so frustrating!
Here's a funny story though. I was due on January 11th, but my mom's dr SWORE that I would be born before the new year. Didn't happen. So on the 22nd my parents had to go to a big fancy dinner for my dad's company. My mom figured I wasn't going anywhere and I was already 11 days late, so she had a small glass of champagne. Then she started having to go to the bathroom a lot. A co-workers wife (who'd been pregnant before) said, "I think you're in labor" LOL! So my parents went home, changed and got the bags, and then went to the hospital.

So maybe have a small glass of champagne? LOL!

-pats- i'm sorry you're still only at one..
BUT.. go get a pedicure! it's a proven fact. if they rub around your ankles, it does something to induce labor. -nods- i know. i've done it. i do nails, so yeah. go get your feet done.
and there's something in turkey that will induce labor as well. but yeah. i reccommend a pedicure. besides, then you'll have pretty feet!

When I was pregnant with my second baby Danny, almost 7, I went for a little drive around my in-law's yard on a riding mower. Well I was not really proficient at driving it so I smashed right into a pine tree! I was actually supposed to go in and be induced the next day anyway, but just so happens I went into labor naturally. Sooo, go take a riding mower out for a spin and smash into something really hard. BTW, I wasn't hurt, just scared, I forgot where the brake was and hit the accelerator instead.

Come on baby!!!!!!!!!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I'm lucky in that my babies both came early, but I was so ready then... I can only imagine how ready I would be if I made it the whole way or more!

With my third I was 10 days overdue, so disappointing!

I hope it happens soon, and like Julie said, she can't stay in there forever! I hope today is the day!

oh that has to be very frustrating . . . but sooner or later, she'll run out of room and have to come out

now, I'm no medical professional but I would advise against Stephanie's advice :p

Girl, I'm so sorry!!!! I remember that feeling so well. Although my doctor was wonderful and he didn't let his patients go over their due date. I will tell you with my 2nd I took two heaping spoons of castor oil (a few older ladies at church were sharing how they brought on labor) and my contractions started within a few hours and he slid right out...it was my easiest delivery :) However, when I told my doctor I wanted to do that for my 3rd he wasn't very happy! :p He said it is very rare but babies can aspirate in their lungs and then it's very bad news. So, with my 3rd I just waited....

come out sweet peanut mommy wants to meet you!
I'm sorry your only 1cm dialated I hope you go into labor soon *sending loads of labor dust*

Sending labor vibes your way! I haven't had babies yet, but I'm not the patient kind so I can't imagine how mad I'd be! LOL Hope she come out soon and easily!!

I hope it happens soon for you!!!!! I can feel your pain for sure I was at 1 (with twins) for 2 weeks too but then as soon as I felt the first contraction I started walking (for about 5 hours) and did not stop until we left for the hospital !!!!! They were born 3 1/2 hours later

oh that has to be very frustrating . . . but sooner or later, she'll run out of room and have to come out

Oh c'mon, worked for me!! And he's even a smart kid! No damage whatsoever!

Oh, I know how frustrating this part is. Being huge and miserable and READY to have the baby just plain sucks. But hang in there and she'll be here before you know it. And I think the pedicure idea is FANTASTIC. I mean, even if it doesn't start your labor, you'll at least get a wonderful relaxing hour or so and pretty toes for when you can actually see them again!

I was almost a week late with DD2, I was ready to have her out a couple of weeks before her due date. DH and I were driving each other nuts - I was on maternity leave and all I wanted to do was go to work just to get away.

Everything was irritating! I totally feel for you, hope baby ? comes soon!

? = did you pick a name yet?

I think the pedicure is the best idea by far!!!

She does have to come out at some point Meg ((hugs)) It will be over before you know it. Ask all those other new mom's around here ;)

Tons of {{LABOR}} vibes Meg!!! I totally feel your pain, I thought my third was never going to arrive and I was SO uncomfortable!

i'm not kidding when i say have some sex to get stuff moving around in there. your cervix needs a jolt. sex can trigger the release of a hormone called oxytocin (the "contraction" hormone), also semen contains a substances called prostaglandins that softens the cervix.

or try verbal threats/bribes. ie. "baby...your coming out even if i have to go in after you myself."

-or-

"baby...i have warm milk..."

all good options, my opinion. ;)

GOOD LUCK.

Oh..ask the hubby he's worn out..we've been doing the sex thing even when i don't wanna haha...

thanks ladies..I feel better now just needed to vent this am after my appt lol

go take the car through the car wash!! It worked for my first, went into labor about two hours later (he was 4 days overdue). With my third, I packed many boxes for our upcoming move, and then treated myself to a pedicure - went into labor that night. lol (he was 5 days overdue)
{was induced with the girl, 10 days overdue - and the last one decided to be kind to his Mommy and arrived 5 days before his due date}

Oh Meghan, that sucks!!! I really feel for you, I'm not a big fan of being pregnant, but that last month was really hard!!!! Hope she makes an appearance soon!

aw hugs, dont worry about it! The baby will come when it is ready and in the mean time enjoy being preggo! Hard i know at the end LOL

Im channelling delivery signals! Hope it all starts happening for you Meghan - since I wasnt late with either pregnancy I didnt go through this process. (((hugs))) for you and bub - maybe the foot beauty therapy is a worth considering - a good foot massage is at least invigorating and oh so relaxing even if it fails to invoke your labour!!
