When I went to get Allie out of bed this morning, there she was.... no diaper, poop EVERYWHERE.... she had smeared it ALL over her crib, threw some on the floor, and there was poo ALL OVER HER FACE AND MOUTH. There's no doubt she ate some. *barf* So, I know she'll be fine, but will she get sick? vomit?

And leave it to DH to be practically useless. He happily volunteered to watch Allie AFTER I scrubbed her down so I could go clean up the mess.

Ohhh...ewwwww!! Eww.

I don't know if she'll get sick - she might, but it might just go right through her again without a problem. I don't think my kids have ever eaten it...

Ewwwww...... kids are so gross! lol

She'll probably be fine. Kids eat poop more than you'd think. And I doubt she ate very much. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Oh gross! I've found Rachel without a diaper and poop all over the bed, but thankfully not all over HER. We ended up duct taping the diaper on every night (no joke)...just make sure that the ends overlap in the BACK, or they'll figure out how to pull it off.

And SHAME on your DH...he should have either cleaned her or the mess up. My DH wouldn't be getting ANY for awhile if he pulled that!!!

that is so friggin disgusting. lukas ate poo more than once. i know!! i know!! he actually dug a diaper out of the diaper thingy. seriously...i know!!! BARF!!!

she should be just dandy. dh owes you. BIG TIME!

Um, gross!! Sometimes I wonder what goes though their minds.

I hope you took pictures. They could come in very handy some day.

Awww Megan, that is so gross! Sorry you had to deal with that. Why do kids do things like that?? When DD1 was potty training, she had an accident on the floor, and she came to me and said "Something tastes funny..." ya I think we can all guess what tasted funny.

I hope you took pictures.

I'm a firm believer in documenting everything, but I just might draw the line at this! :) YUCK! I don't think it'll hurt her, though. They are her germs.

My baby ate his brother's poop when we were potty training. (Btw when they tell you to leave them without pants and they won't poop on the floor - they are lying). I was having a giant freakout and my dh was like "all babies eat poop" and I was yelling MAYBE THEIR OWN POOP NOT OTHER PEOPLE'S POOP.

Still traumatized.

Lol, I don't mean to laugh...but I have been through it. When my DD was potty training, I found her in her crib one morning with her diaper off. I could smell poop, but couldn't find it. Then I spotted it (thankfully it was a solid) on her pillow. The first thing out of her mouth was "I didn't taste the poop." Suuuuuuuure you didn't, kid...

Oh my gosh I think I would have just died Megan!! So far we haven't had an incidents like that with any of our three kids *knock on wood* but if it would be any of them it will be Kyle lol! He's only 20mo old and it'll be awhile before potty training so I'm sure we're not safe yet lol!

Been there. Not me, but my oldest.

If it happens once it will happen again. Better go buy some Oxiclean.

If she wears one piece pjs put them on backwards. And use the tape.

OMG ew! I would freak if I found that my babies had eaten poo. I would think they'd get sick. YIKES! I'm sorry you had to deal with that today... hope she's ok.

another alternative to duct taping the diaper on is putting them in footie jammies, but putting them on backwards so they can unzip them and get to their diaper. Just an idea...

OOOO this is the worst! One of my boys was a "poop player" too! I had to clean him up 2 or 3 times and I cried tears of horror every time. It really is the most gross chore as a mom I've had to do to date and oh the memory of it just a complete nightmare. So BIG ((HUGS)) to you as I know this chore stunk to HIGH heaven.

That is horrible! We had this same problem, but thankfully he never ate any. Be glad that she was contained to the crib, because it is soooo much worse when they aren't. I had to throw away a whole bag of books and toys. And it is horrible to get out of light colored carpet.

I just heard about the backward pj thing. I would definitely do that. Because it will probably happen again.

EWWW...LOL! My youngest has done this a few times it is sooo gross! Once while we were driving she was so quiet in the back seat (usually she hates the car and screams so loud) and I was thinking oh she is being so good. I turn around to check on her and she has poop on her hands and has smeared it all over her & the car seat and yes it was around her mouth. We had to pull over and try to clean her up and then put her back into the poopy seat until we could get to a place to clean it. It was so GROSS!
