You are SO lucky!!! Wish I could join you - I used to live in Houston, so I know the area and the place it's going to be at is very nice. Right in the heart of things, including shopping. Watch out for the heat, though!Unfortunately, we are on a tight budget so no CKU this year.
By the way, one of my paper scrapper colleagues went to the one in Chicago and loved it! She showed us some of the projects she worked on - the one from Ali is so cool, especially the binder cover. Also, she gushed about the Rusty Pickle classes. And the Grungeboard class (Tim Holtz's class) looked and sounded awesome, too, from what she showed!
I hope you have a lot of fun and get to hang out with Mr. Tim - he's a funny guy and oh-so-creative!
That is so great for you...at first I saw the blog about the acrylic stamps he was giving away and I was having trouble wondering why you had tears in your eyes LOL!! But, I understand NOW!!! Way to Go!!
Thank you SOOOO much for the congrats, ladies!! I couldn't wait to share with you!!
Leslie- Thanks so much for the "insider info" on the classes! I have my heart set on Ali's "Evolution" class...just being in her presence for 8 hours will hopefully have some magical effect on me, right!!? LOL Tim's Grungeboard class looks so cool too....definitely have to check out the Rusty Pickle one (I think it's an add-on class, so if I can get in early on Thursday, I'll definitely do that one).
If anyone has pointers on how to soak it all in or how to pack for a mega-crop, I'd love the hints! I've never even been to a crop, this is going to be paper scrapping overload for me!
Manda- GET IN MY SUITCASE, GIRLY!!! Come on, drive on over, it's only like a 12 hour drive. Pretty please?!!?
