So my DH is active Air Force and his shop wanted to do something for their squadron commander who is leaving. As a sorta "joke" they wanted me to photoshop a "Adopt A Highway" sign and put the commanders name and unit on the sign and then print it out and they were gonna frame it for her. So today and the kiddos are heading into hubby's work and there is his whole office by the front door. I thought maybe they were having a meeting and told him I would come back. They said no and hubby tells me and kiddos to head to his office. Well I hear them mention my sign I photoshopped for them. I guess they presented the commander with the picture today and she thought is was for real!!!!! She was so excited and asked what road it was on, so the Captain turns to my husband and asks him which road, to which he stumbles around and then gives her the name of the road I took the pic of the sign on! She gets all excited and tells them she is gonna drive by it on the way home from work. Then she tells them nobody has never done anything this nice for her. Ruh roh!!!!!!!!!!!! She asks to take a picture with all of them and her holding the picture of the sign. Oh my gosh, I can't believe she thought it was for real!!!!! So the Captain told her later when she was alone. I am not sure how she took it, but I told hubby to be prepared for a 2 am recall tonight!!! Bwahahahahahahahaha!!
Hopefully, she'll see the humor in it once she realizes the intentions were good!
