We host a Thanksgiving dinner at our house for our close friends each year on the weekend after Thanksgiving. The problem is that by the time our dinner rolls around, everyone is tired of the same old carved turkey dinner (including us since we have three dinners to attend each Thanksgiving Day).
This year I'm thinking of doing a "Thankful for the Little Things" theme and doing a "mini" dinner... dinner with all small or bite-size foods.
So far on the menu...
Appetizers: Crab Stuffed Button Mushrooms, Baby Shrimp Cocktail, Crudite
Main Course: Cornish hens (one per person)
Sides: Sausage & Cranberry Stuffing Balls, Scalloped Potatoes in serving sized ramicans, small asparagus wrapped in bacon
Dessert: Mini Pumpkin Pie Bites, Mini Apple Pies
Does this sound good? Any other ideas? What should I add/take away?
