NSBR: I Have The Best Mom

I have been camera-less since an unfortunate swimming pool incident in April. I do have the camera on my phone, but it's less then stellar. A crappy photo is better than no photo at all and all that, but still, I was sad. My mom had told me she would take it into a camera shop by her house (she knows someone there, I guess) and see what it would cost to fix it. When she told me it would be $250ish, I thanked her for checking for me and asked her to bring it back to me when she comes for a visit this month.

Today in the mail I got a new camera (that is advertised as waterproof and shatterproof - ha ha!) from my parents as a super early (like 3 1/2 months!) birthday present.

I cried and cried when I opened it. After losing my job a few weeks ago, I knew that buying a new camera would not be in the budget anytime soon & I was so bummed to miss out on my favorite photos to take (fall & Christmas)... and now I won't have to.

Anyways, I just had to share with people who would understand my happiness! :wub:
