Well, I braved the crowds and stood in line in the freezing cold for 2 hours so that I could get a Wii for my kids. Now I need some games. My boys are 10 and 6. Any suggestions on good games?

mario kart and mario party are a couple of our faves (my mom already has a wii and the kids love those games!)

for christmas we also bought the kids a wii and super smash brothers brawl or something like that...they want it super-bad!!!

Super Mario Galaxy is super fun and we LOVE Mario Kart.

We got Benjamin the Smash Bros one as well for Christmas, mom bought them Mario Party 8.

My kids love Mario Kart too! They also like the Olympics game (can't think of the name right now!) and they enjoy playing my Wii Fit too!

Mario Kart and Wii Fit! We just bought Star Wars Legos for the Wii, and after reading the reviews, we're excited to play that one!

Definitely Mario Kart and Wii Fit! Both are hits with all of mine (ages 9, 8, 5, and 4) and us as well. My 9yo likes Sonic and Mario at the Olympics, but the rest of my kids don't care for it. We rented Mario Party 8 last week and they really liked that one as well. Have fun!

These were the two games I was going to say! great games. My little sisters (8 and 12) love them and they come with steering wheel so its alot of fun for the kids. Its also fun for the adults!

I love Mario Party and WiiPlay is kind of fun (It comes with an extra Wiimote, which is the main reason why I bought it). I also second Wii Fit, which is pretty cool too.

We have Mario Party 8 and Mario & Sonic Olympic Games - both of these are AWESOME! We also have GH3 and GH: Aerosmith...DH wants to get GH4 but we can't get our hands on the bundle with the drums (and you can't buy them separately...grrr...we don't NEED 2 more guitars, lol). Mason is 6 and has almost passed the easy level of GH...it took him a lot of practicing but once he caught on, he did REALLY good.

I saw a Hasbro Family Games Night game the other day that looks really fun, and I want to get Boogie Superstar - it looks awesome. I've found a few others that look interesting and would be fun. Last night we found an outdoor type game that has a mat that looks kinda like Dance Dance Revolution, you use the remotes and your feet to do activities like running/canoeing/etc. We had never seen that one before but it looked fun!

We have Wii Fit, Carnival Games, A Horse game, One call Boogie, I think, not sure, but it comes with a mic and you dance and for Christmas the kids are getting the new Outdoor Challenge one that comes with a mat. They all get played pretty equally, Wii Fit anf the sports games that came with it have a slight edge......

There is a game called Boogie that's been out for a while, I think it's a dancing game...then there's Boogie Superstar and it just came out and it's a singing/dancing one that came with a mic.

I just bought the Wii this morning for my kids and got some sort of Dog game for DD (6) and a Ben 10 game for DS (9). They were $19.99 at Target. I'm going to look into the Mario Cart I think - sounds like everyone here likes it. Do you have to have the steering wheel?
