In John Grisham's legal thriller The Widow, a struggling, small-town Virginia lawyer named Simon Latch agrees to draft a new will for an elderly, wealthy widow, Eleanor Barnett. When Eleanor dies under suspicious circumstances, Simon is accused of her murder and must find the real killer to clear his name.
