well, that deal we made to trade our tiny house for my BILs Harley has fallen through. they could not get a loan to pay off the bike so now its being reposessed. they will now pay us$400 a month starting in September for the house instead. we are keeping it in our name however, until they pay it off or are able to someday get a loan to just pay us i guess. i'm disapointed. at first when they made the deal i was like "whatever". Then Chad gave me a ride on it, lol. we went on some country roads and it was FUN! at first when he took off the butterflies went nuts in my belly, but i relaxed and learned to enjoy it. he does really well and is a careful driver. someday maybe we'll get one of our own. we'll just bank the money they are giving us. i'm sure it'll come in handy for emergencies. if they cant pay us then we'll sell the house.

I hear ya...Harley's are definitely fun, but the actual payments for your house are much more beneficial and reasonable..everything works out as it should in the end. I hope things work out with the payments and you can build some financial stability without having to sell! Best of luck!

you were gonna trade a house for a harley??

yes. it was chad and his brother's idea. i really didnt' care. and seriously, that house was TINY. it was shaped like a single wide trailer, but longer. i hated it, lol, so i didnt care. my dad's house/the house i grew up in that we are taking over is a big old two story house with more room for us. i really don't care at all about that other house. and the money they give us is really better. i told Chad when we get the car paid off in about 3 years he can get a harley. we cant really afford another bill with that car payment.

It may have been small and you may have hated it but it's still a house. And I'm will to bet it was worth more than the harley. So I suppose this is a blessing in disguise.

yes it probably is worth more now. when we bought it we only paid $12,500 for it, lol. we did a lot of work to it and his brother is finishing it up so its probably worth way more. i think he paid $15,000 for his Harley. and it'll be nice to have some extra $$ coming in to bank!
