This has not been my afternoon. I got upset about something and decided I needed to de-stress. So I go outside cause it is a gorgeous spring day, blue sky 80 degrees. LOVELY day. I had a few plants I needed to get in the ground, but I thought first, wait, I'll get out the weeds first. So I get down there to start pulling and a SWARM of fire ants rushes out and attacks my hands. We're talking no less than 20 bites per hand. (Not to mention I still have to type tonight for work ! YEOWCH)

So, I shake that off, decide to put off the weeding until I can get some ant killer and then I went to water everything else and the kids were so cute running through the hose I got my camera and wanted to take some cute shots of them..the sun was perfect, the water drops looked like diamonds. Or WOULD have if I had not had the camera set on something stupid like night? I can't remember what it was but it was NOT action or even auto which is what I needed.

SO now I have to go back to working and feel like the few minutes of playtime I had were a total bust and my hands hurt! LOL Katie said but mommy , now you will have fire ant bites to pop tomorrow! that's my girl......always seeing the bright side, lol

I hate when I forget to change my camera settings, and it's always when I have it set on something weird that I rarely use. :cursing:

So sorry nothing went right for you. I must second, Col's suggestion! That thread will definitely make you smile!
 
Ouch! Hope you have some benadryl cream handy! I HATE when the camera is in the wrong mode - :cursing:

OUCH! It's been years since I have had to deal with fire ants, but I still cannot forget them!

I hope your day gets better!
 
OUCH, fire ants suck! :( I don't miss them (in Florida) but up here in PA we have some VERY strange bugs! BLECH!

So sorry your day has gone so crummy and I didn't read this before replying to your PM or I would have sent you {{{hugs}}} in there too. I hope it gets better. And I had to crack up at the popping the bites comment!
 
Oh My--that is horrible--if I get bit i swell up--lovely being allergic to those things--or any kind of ant for that matter---and then typing ontop of it...Your my hero :) So brave to get through it all! :) I'll be thinking of u tonight as I'm sure I know ur not going to be typing without a small bit of pain **HUGS**...your in my thoughts hun!
 
Awwwwwww Amylou!! That's awful!!! Hope those hands get well fast! You'll need them to use your mouse for all the scrapping you have to do! :)
 
OMGosh Amy! I'm so sorry! I have had one dealing with Fire Ants and I never forgot it so that totally stinks and even more so about the photos! I hope your day got better! Hugs!
 
LOL yeah I actually like the popping the bites part! (I'm a sicko huh?) so that should be a party goin on this afternoon! I feel much better today thankyouverymuch! I resolve to have a better day no matter WHAT! LOL Now gonna go find that Angela thread....I remember something about rubbers? LOL
