Hi I am very new to digital scrapbooking. I have been a traditional scrapbooker for 7 years. I started making books at Heritage Makers and loved it so much I became a consultant. Although heritage makers has more kits than I possibly could ever dream of using I am so in love with the pre made brag books sold here. My questions are:

for the 4x6 brag books is everyone printing them out as photos at Wal mart,
copies on glossy paper at Staples , or home printing. I get that they are being
decoupaged to board books. I am purchasing a bind it all tool.

also what software do i need?

I have no idea how to digital scrap since heritage makers is completely drag n drop.:

any help would be appreciated.

thanks, Joanne

I use Photoshop Elelemnts 3 to scrap...it's pretty outdated but it still suits me so I see no need to upgrade. Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro I think are the 2 most wildley used programs, but I think there are tons more. For most of them you can find 30 day trials to see which one fits you best. I know Adobe makes Photoshop and you can just go to their website for a trial, I am not sure who makes Paint Shop, but I bet you could google it and find out.

When I make 4x6 stuff I do get it printed at Wal Mart and then usullay it just get's stuck in a 4x6 brag book.

Congrats on trying digi and good luck!!!

I use Adobe phtoshop elements 6.0, I used the trial for 30 days before buying though, I thought it would be a good idea to figure the program out first!!

I do all my printing at home, but sometimes you can get a better deal at Walmart or London Drugs, its the convienience for me!:)

Of course the gallery here is full of wonderful ideas, so take a gander around!! If you need help with the program that you do choose there is also tonnes of tutorails available, just serach the web!

Good luck on your newest endevor!!:)

Welcome!!

Corel makes PSP btw (Used to be JASC) it's fairly inexpensive as is PS Elements. I'd start with elements if you think you'd ever want to upgrade to photoshop CS2 or 3 since I think the learning curve wouldn't be as hard to master. I started out in PSP and wow I love PS sooo much better now hehe

I use Photo Shop Elements 6 and print mine own here at home, I just make them 8 x 8 so I can print myself. I paper scrap 12 x 12 though

I use Adobe Photoshop CS3. I used the free 30 day trial at first and then loved it so much that I bought it (well, actually DH bought it for me for my birthday).

I use Snapfish to print 4x6 and they do a great job.
