Hello,
I am new to this website and new to digital scrapbooking. I have found a ton of kits that I am interested in purchasing...how should I go about this? Are there any upcoming sales? I have 2 children my son who will be 3 next month and then my daughter who is a year and a half. I haven't started on either of their scrapbooks. What do you guys recommend I buy first?

I recommend the Sibling Rivalry collection by Kristin Cronin-Barrow and Meghan Mullens... it's SO versatile!

I have a list of 40 kits that I want to buy so I will wait for Saturday. Besides kits what are the other must haves. Does anyone use the Creative Memories Storybook creator plus to create their pages? I have it and then Photoshop.
 
Welcome to SSD!!! Saturday is National Scrapbooking Day so there will probably be a sale as well as fun chats and games. :)

First off, welcome to SSD! You'll quickly become addicted here!! =)

Secondly, with your two, I would buy Kristin Cronin-Barrow's Sibling Rivalry kit! It's awesome and covers both sexes.

I use Photoshop. I'm not sure if you can use other kits with the Creative Memories one...but I could be wrong.

Some other really good choices are templates, and Bree Clarkson is the resident Template Goddess, and Darcy has some fabulous ones as well. I personally love to use templates, and if you use Photoshop, they make putting a layout together so quick and easy...you just add your own elements and journaling and papers! There are a lot of tutorials out there if you haven't used them before.

Darcy is our "Font Queen", so you will definitely want to check out some of her fabulous fonts (especially if you love to journal)

and as for the rest of the kits...all of the designers here are awesome. I suggest going through the galleries by clicking on the designers names and see what people have done using their kits. If you love the way one looks...just jot the name of the kit down or add it to your wish list. I always love to see a kit used before I buy it (not always...but a lot of the time).

Welcome to SSD! I would recommend the photoshop program to use. I have never used the Creative Memories one so not sure how it works. Photoshop is what is mostly used.

Hi! I'm from Kansas...although I do spend considerable amount of time in Blue Springs, MO for our Robotics addiction. lol

I've probably passed close by when I have gone to visit relatives in Tulsa!
