New to our Community?

New

I used to hang around years ago, but haven't been scrapping much in the last 4-5 years. Last month I came across a month of challenges and scrapped almost every day and found my mojo again. I used to design products, but life with a house full of kids (6 still at home) doesn't leave a lot of extra time and I retired. Now, with my youngest in kindergarten, I have a couple of hours a day to do stuff I haven't been able to do for a while, and that's where I fit my scrapping in. I'm excited to try the Bingo Challenges this month! And the Shoppe....I don't think there's enough space in my wishlist for everything I want ;). Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome to SSD!! I've changed your settings, so you should be able to jump in and make yourself at home. You may still notice some weird stuff until you reach 10 posts. We have some spam filters in place, but that will go away on its own. The easiest way to get 10 posts is to leave some comments in the gallery.

I joined a while back but not sure if I ever posted a Hello, and my gallery is empty, so I guess I need to do an intro :)
I am Terri (Meterr) from Michigan. I have been with my husband since 1989. I have a 12 yr old son at home who has autism and anxiety. I have two adult kids who are in their mid 20s and out on their own. Our oldest had four kids, ages 5, 4, 3 and 8 months! I love digi scrapping, reading all kinds of books, anything retro or vintage, History, making little crafty things, and mnay other weird little hobbies.

I've changed your forum permissions, but you may still notice a few weird things until you have 10 post. If you want to leave a few comments in the gallery, that'll bump your count up, and all restrictions will automatically be lifted.

I'm (sorta) new here. I've had an account for awhile, but I've never really posted in the forum. How do I upload a cute signature?

We have some spam filters in place, so that's why you were unable to post a new thread. I've changed your permissions though, so you should be able to have a little more freedom. The rest of the restrictions are automated but will lift once you've reached 10 posts. You can get your post count up quickly by leaving some comments in the gallery.

I've changed your permissions, so you might try loading your signature again. If it still doesn't work, it might be one of those weird things that won't work until you have 10 posts. If that's the case, you can leave some comments in the gallery to quickly bump up your post count.

Hi! I'm new here and am trying to participate in the bingo challenge. I wasn't able to edit my post so I'm assuming that's because you need to do something to my account.

I just changed your permissions, you should at least be able to leave some love in the gallery now. :) We do have spam filters in place, so you may not be able to edit your post until you have 10 posts. However, gallery comments count toward that, so you should be up and running in no time!

Bingo looks fun

Hello, new to this forum/gallery but have enjoyed scrapping for a long time. I took a few years off but am returning now and really loving getting involved again.
Bingo looks like a lot of fun, so I have stocked up and I am ready to start flexing my creative muscles again!

Ahhhhhhh the bingo hall! I love that! Reminds me of when I was a kid and used to actually go hang out at the bingo hall while my mom & grandma played. So much fun!

I am in search for a place to call home. The site where I was very active behind the scenes closed suddenly last December and I am still feeling a little lost as to where I need to be.
I started digital scrapbooking way back in 2008 and started to dabble in some designing in 2009 ( not interested in being a professional designer as it takes away too much of my scrapping time and I have lots and lots of memory pages I want to create). I may not be very active this month.... just having a good look around before diving in too deep.
I am married to Ken and have one daughter and four precious grandchildren. I live in northern New South Wales, Australia.

Hi everyone,

I'm a 31 yo digi-newbie and am really excited to join this awesome community.

I've been paper scrapping since 2010 when I started with creating wedding albums as gifts for our families and loved it for years. Lately, it just has stopped working for me. I don't have a good space for creating, it's messy - just not feeling it anymore.
So I've decided to try the digi version and am absolutely in love with it. I'm discovering new techniques and features all the time, love the products and I'm happy that I finally get back to actually using my photos to document memories.

I've already uploaded a couple of layouts for the Bingo Challenge and hope to create a lot more until the end of the month :)

Looking forward to getting to know you!

Your story is a lot like mine in that I was a paper scrapper for several years before going to digi. I was burnt out, tired of the mess, and just didn't feel it anymore. I tried digi on a whim and never looked back! (that was over 10 years ago!).

I've changed your permissions here in the forum, so you'll have some more freedom around here. Feel free to jump in and make yourself at home. You'll probably notice some weird stuff (like needing to have certain things approved) until you have 10 posts. Those are just automatic spam filters that I can't override. If you'd like to leave some comments in the gallery that will bump your post count up quickly.

Hi All!
I'm new here and have jumped in and done a couple of the challenges. It's been a very long while since I've scrapped! Lot's of things happened... we moved from ME to NC in May of 2014, and back to ME in July! My mom was diagnosed with stage IV Pancreatic Cancer in December of that year (so glad the Lord brought us back home in time to walk that journey with her!). She passed in November of 2015, and then just the grieving that happens afterwards. Prior to all of that I was very busy as a CT for several designers and ScrapMatters, even leading some speed scraps - my favorite! Once they closed, I just couldn't find a new place to call home. I'm hoping I've found it here!
 
I can't seem to edit any of my posts... and I'm trying to leave a comment on a particular layout in the gallery, and for the life of me I cannot find the button to do so?
