New Speedlite!

I got a new speedlite yesterday!! It's a 430EX II for those that want to know, but, it's my first one, and I'm still having trouble with it (I got some video tutorials I'll look through this weekend) but I am SO HAPPY!! I can take indoor shots again, lol!! :thumbup:

You know I researched for a really long time, looking for one with the most bang for the buck. It's a little big... it makes me feel like my camera is almost unwieldy, but I got it for $211 at Amazon during a Memorial Day sale, I got the sto-fen diffusor, too.
 
Tony has one too, that some wonderful woman (cough) gave him for Christmas. It took him awhile to figure it out, but once he did, the results were amazing. Have fun!
 
I have that exact speedlight (and the Sto-fen diffuser too) for my XTi and love it! Cute photos Bryn :)
 
Awesome!!! You will LOVE it!!

I don't know what I ever did without mine. I have had it for almost two years and it is almost always on the camera!
 
Oh, I am soooo jealous! i've been wanting to get one of these! Gorgeous photos!
If you ever get a chance could you post a with and without the speedlite so it shows a comparison between the 2? I need show my DH to convince him LOL.
 
The boys are in bed now but tomorrow I'll take one without a flash, one with the camera flash, and one with the speedlite. ;)

To give you an idea, though, this was taken inside, at night, with just the light above the dining table on...

Great pics! This is hopefully what I'm getting for my birthday in 2 weeks..I've sure hinted enough about it...actually I've just come out and said this is what I want for my birthday :) lol...so hopefully I'll have one in a couple of weeks too :)
