Need prayers and good thoughts

A classmate of my daughter's- this week his family lost their home to a fire. He is the middle child of 5, ages 2-12. They are staying at a vacation home of one of the people who started the school, so at least they are out of the hotel. I think they must have lost everything because even stuff like sippy cups and pencils were on the list sent out via email today. The little boy is not back at school yet, but I believe that everyone is alright- nobody physically hurt. Please pray for this family of 7 to get back on their feet and recover from this loss. The people involved with my daughter's school are absolutely wonderful. When something is needed, they pull together and get it done. So I am hoping that they will be showered with love and everything they need from all at our school. Thanks ladies!
 
How devastating and I can't imagine how stressful it must be for them and the kids. How generous that someone offered up their vacation home - what a great thing that must be for them in this time.
 
That is really awful! I am so sorry. We have a family at church who lost their home to a fire and it is completely devastating. I think sometimes you don't realize the effect it has on someone until you see it first hand. It is just heartbreaking to lose all your children's and families things but thank God everyone is okay.
 
Oh, I am so sorry to hear this.....I have just given away a bunch of slothing to my SIL for her SIL but I do have another bag. These are mostly size 4. I also have a bunch of size 8-10 stuff too. It is all boy stuff but I have no one to give it to and am totally willing to ship it if needed...Please let me know!!!!!
 
I can't even imagine... fire is one of my worst fears. There have been nights I layed in bed because just the thought gets in my brain and I worry what if tonight is the night and we don't hear the alarms... so scarey!!

I am thankful to hear the family is safe... when it comes down to it life is more important than all your stuff. It sounds like you have a great community to help them get through this hard time. Prayers out to everyone!

I am kind of weary of posting anymore personal info on a public board, KWIM? I hate to put the phone number out there and someone figure out where the school is, etc... I'm sure you moms understand that! But if you want to know just send me a message and I will tell you where to call and who to ask for. Thank you again.
We went through my daughter's toys last night and she's found some things she wants to give away so that's a start.

So true! They still have each other and that is most important. Nice that somebody had a vacation home.......we still rent LOL. Last I heard they are doing well.
 
What a sad story....how horrible! My thoughts will be with them......I glad they have such a caring community around them!
 
Fire is one of my worst fears also. It's wonderful that they have such a caring community to support them. You can never replace so much of what you've lost, but to have that kind of support to help you start over means so much. My thoughts are definitely with them.
