Need help!

I saw this tut the other day about changing the color of elements to match the color scheme of your kit. Of course, I didn't bookmark it and now I can find it anywhere. I remember they opened up the element they wanted to change and the paper. They used the eyedropper (can't remember how they did that) and got a color sample from the paper and somehow changed the element to that color. I hope what I am explaining makes sense. Does someone know how to do this?

The lazy-man's way is to just use the hue/adjustment feature and play around with the sliders (I usually check the colorize box). I love how there are soooo many ways to do everything in PS.
