Need help with Firefox and forums

I am so frustrated I could scream. :cursing:

I can not access my CT forums through firefox any more. I keep getting the message server not found. I have googled it and tried all the suggestions, changing my firewall setting, resetting firefox, standing on my head and rubbing my nose and nothing is working! Is anyone else experiencing this? Does any one have a suggestion as to what I should try next? :(

I really hate to have to switch to another browser, but if this keeps up I may have to, as I need to be able to check my forums. What do you all use that you like?

I never should have upgraded the darn thing! :crying:
 
CT forums here? The site was a bit buggy earlier - maybe that's what the problem was? I know I couldn't get in for a bit.
 
Both here and off site. It is driving me crazy. I just typed up a reply, went to post it and lost it due to this stupid server issue. I did find out it is most likely an issue with my internet provider as the bandwith in the area is undergoing an upgrade because it is not sufficient to serve the demand. So frustrating. :(
 
I hate Firefox and it's the only one that works on my laptop. All the rest say I have no connection :( drives me mad, ff is getting worse and I have to refresh the gallery here a few times before it lets me upload!!
 
Have you tried to access through another browser and been able to get in? If not I would try that to say for sure it is firefox. If that does not work then it may be a server issue and they all use the same company? I know a few weeks ago godaddy.com was hacked and thousands of sites were down. I LOVE firefox and will never ever switch. I despise IE and tried Chrome but didnt like it. Also if you disable all addon's on firefox one of them might be the culprit. And I think there is a link to go back to previous version of firefox somewhere on their website if it is causing you issues. I had to do it for a little while til they worked all the kinks out of the one I am on now.
 
I am using FF - the latest update - no problems. i have been using FF for a few years and I can't say as I have ever had problems with any forums. Have you checked the FF help forums - usually there is someone else having the same issue.

Thanks for all the advice ladies. I have the issue resolved and it was my provider not my browser. It took three phone calls, two hours and a bit of an attitude to get it done, but things are working great right now, so I am happy. Not happy about all the lost time and frustrations, but happy to have it done and over with, for now. lol
 
I'm glad you got it resolved. I've heard it was happening to some people - especially if the forum is hosted by forumotion. I have firefox and haven't had any problems. I've tried Chrome and honestly, no matter what browser you have - at times, you will have problems. Everyone had problems with IE and moved to firefox, now they are moving to chrome...and the cycle will continue lol Again, glad you got it resolved.
