how do i fill the rainbow w/ different color papers when it is on one layer in my psd file? thanks, i love it SO much i MUST master this.

There may be an easier way, but here's what I would do. Put the paper you want to use under the rainbow, then use your magic wand tool to select the section of rainbow you want to "fill". Once you have the marching ants around it make sure you have the paper (not the rainbow) highlighted in your layers palette and then go to Layer>New>Layer via cut... then you can delete the portion of paper you don't want to keep. Do this with each section of the rainbow til you have your new rainbow underneath. Then you can delete the original rainbow and merge the new rainbow layers together.

Hope this helps!

Yeah, that's probably what I would do.

Or you can use the magic wand tool and select each section of the rainbow and "layer via cut" them out of that layer. Then each piece has its own layer and you can use it like a template!

Yeah, I'd probably do it the second way cuz that's my first thought ... will have to try the first one to see how it's different.

set your wand tolerance down to 0..other than that I'm not sure how it would work b/c the greys are so close together. I just used a rainbow from Eva's Happy Dance Kit :)

i cannot leave out the rainbow, i love it too much but it is giving me serious grey hair. setting the tolerance to 0 was the key, however i got to the bottom sliver and somehow created a hole and now I cannot fill that one w. paper. oy!
