NEED HELP: How do I create layer styles in PSE?

I'm currently still work with PS3, which is a very old version.
However, this version no longer runs on my new laptop.

Now I'm thinking about switching to PSE2026.
I downloaded the trial version this morning.

I'm trying to create a layout, but I'm having problems with my shadows.
Can I only use and change the layer styles that come with PSE, but not save my own?
Do I have to recreate them for each new layout?

Maybe I overlooked something?
Unfortunately, PS Help doesn't help me either.

How do you do it with the different shadows on your pages? Do you have a good trick?

In addition to using and changing the layer styles that come with PSE, you can install other layer style sets. You do not have the ability to make your own style sets in PSE.

I have a set of custom shadows that you can install and manipulate for the layout, but you won't be able to make those changes into a new layer style.

Check out this thread about PSE and custom shadows. There is an extra program called Elements+ that will unlock certain features.

Thanks for your reply!

I'll read through the other post right away and maybe do a little shopping for my wishlist too :)
