For those that know what I am talking about- I need ideas for my church's Super Saturday- basically its a day long crafting event where the women from my church get together to get a head start on Christmas gifts and crafting. I am partially in charge and I need some fun, inexpensive and simple craft ideas, not necessarily christmas themed! :) I just know you guys will have some fantastic ideas!

Oh, I am so jealous!! My ward is super lame (and I'm even on the Enrichment Board) and we basically have been told we're not allowed to do Super Saturdays/craft stuff. I remember a friend of mine had a really great SS, so let me see if I can find her blog post about it...

Can I ask what kind of church does this? It sounds so fun, I used to go to a church as a kid that did all sorts of fun things, but I haven't found one since that does more than church service and Sunday School.

Get some notebooks from the dollar store (or Michael's dollar bin, I get those a lot) and supply pretty papers and letter stickers to decorate them.

Get mason jars, and provide the cooking supplies needed for cakes or cookies or whatever. Make up those cookies in a jar things and then decorate them.

Stand by, need to do something, I'll come back with more.

I was going to say mason jars, but you could also do photo tiles. Those are inexpensive, but they would have to bring pictures.

how about hand-made cards? for any season or even just Christmas. They make nice gifts or the ladies can send them out themselves. I do this with a group of friends and we pay a lady (my friend's aunt) to come up with the card ideas. She cuts all the pieces and we just put them together and stamp and accent. You may be able to convince one of the catalog stamping company reps to do this for you. I think my friend's aunt sells Stampin' Up but she is only marketing by us using her stuff. Here's some of the cards we made recently:

Here are a few things I've given the last couple of years for holiday gifts, most are christmas themed!!!

Dani... my SIL's ward just made Diva Aprons. They are cute and simple, with fun material that makes you feel cute in the kitchen. There are quite a few on Etsy that are like them. Don't know if I could get the pattern, or if you could do that yourself. :)

Ok yay! these are some fantastic ideas! Those aprons are soo cute! I bet I could find a similar pattern... and I love the idea of doing jar w/ mixes and the ornaments are so cute too! Thanks everyone for your help! This deffinately gives me a head start! :)

You could do reindeers also with the light bulbs.

get the clear glass/plastic christmas ornaments and fill them with stuff like tinsel, beads, glue and theen add different color glitter on the inside and that will keep it from rubbing off on everything. Oh also sand and little shells for a "tropical christmas". Supposedly if you soak a pine cone in water it will be soft enough to put in one of those ornament but Ive never tried it.

Our ward did this family magnet board last year at Super Saturday:

We seem to have done a lot of vinyl lettering projects. Another one we did was a piece of floor tile (cheap ones from Home Depot) with a quote, scripture, or saying in vinyl lettering. Once we rubbed the vinyl lettering on, we put modge podge on top of it and it was done. Super easy.

Other projects: mixes in jars (as already mentioned), altered lunch boxes (recipe box, hair bow holder, address box, jewelry box, etc.), crocheting around the edge of burp clothes.

I'll come back with more when I think of them. I have been to a ton of Super Saturdays.
