National unplugging day

Oh no! I need more notice than that! HAHA! Was thinking about taking my kids to the movie theater tomorrow.... that's a screen but not exactly the same thing, right? Right?! :P

I would say you're good! The movie isn't on your computer or phone/tablet, so it doesn't count! :)

Weekends are usually spent "unplugged" to an extent anyways- limited computer time and phone time. BUT, we have zero plans for this weekend, so it depends on how that goes!

lol I'm with Cassie!! I need more notice!
Although I have a book to finish reading before Monday so maybe I'll do that.

No, we don't and won't unplug. I'll be using my computer to scrap and pay bills, stuff like that.

haha - I wouldn't know what to do with myself... need my computer to scrapbook... need my kindle to read... maybe I will stay off facebook... baby steps. ;)

I do this about every couple of months anyway, but tomorrow is my birthday so while I won't be unplugging, we will be out and about which means less screen time overall.

:)

I had no idea that was tomorrow but it looks like I'll be participating in the morning part of the day. I'm heading out for a photo walk tomorrow morning until lunch time so will be off-line until later in the afternoon....so I guess I can say I'm partly participating.

Nope! Phone and computer time are more limited during the week, but one of my favorite things about the weekend is getting more scrap time. Plus I have some work to do tomorrow, and I need my computer for that. For the kids we have daily time limits for screens and hold off longer than most on getting them phones. I don't feel like I need to make them unplug for a day in addition to that, though there are some days we're just too busy for any screen time.

not excactly but i do have a busy no PC day, first my boy is having a soccer game this monring. I'm also preparing my daughters birthday we are celebrating tomorrow and next to that both of my girls have a dance performance today. So my day is pretty much filled with non-electronic activities, or maybe only my canon...

I unplugged last Sunday when our power went out due to high winds. I'm counting that afternoon!

You guys crack me up!

Since I didn't even read this til the day was over I did not unplug, My phone broke tonight! It froze up, and when I tried a hard reset it is giving me the spinning wheel of doom. So I'll be unplugged (from my phone anyway) until I get that repaired. I have an appointment at the genius bar tomorrow afternoon. I feel so lost! I can't call or text my friend about our lunch plans and had to go to my computer to make the appointment to fix my phone! And I don't know what time it is, can't set an alarm.... Phones are so much a part of our lives now!!

Good luck with your phone, Cindi! I've spent quite a few hours at the Apple store with broken devices. No fun at all.

You all are so funny!! :D

We didn't unplug.
One of our favorite things in the evenings is to sit together on the couch and watch a few episodes of a TV show (right now it's The Office...AGAIN! Ugh!), we stream it from our phones to the TV. It's together time, and since my boys are teens, we don't get a lot of time with them.

Plus, once I go to bed, I read on my Kindle app on my phone... I wouldn't be able to fall asleep without that!

Totally love when the kids hang out with us to watch TV - it definitely gets harder as they get older!

My phone fixed itself after I let the battery die and plugged it into iTunes as suggested by a video we watched. YAY!

I'm so glad your phone is okay!
