Today be extra special, I named me new wee jack after his father`s ancestor, a seafarin' hearty named Phineas Pearl...

so... I be havin' me very own wee sea dog this voyage: Phineas Morgan.

(translation: Today is extra special, I named my new little guy after dh's 5th great grandfather, a pirate named Phineas Pearl. So this year I have my very own pirate: Phineas Morgan)

My boys are named after pirates too. Well, they are named after Elizabethan privateers - not really pirates, unless you ask the Spanish. They are named for Sir Francis Drake (an actual ancestor) and Sir Walter Raleigh. If we'd had another boy we'd have named him for Sir Henry Morgan.
