My MIL :(

We were told around midnight that she has lung cancer and it's spread to stomach... possibly even the bone marrrow.

Explains 15 lb weight loss in a week...

All very sudden..

We thought pnuemonia but she was getting worse so dh took her to ER ( ambulance because she couldn't get up)

...her doc had been trying to call her the past 3 days but phone was off..

Anyways they told her and dh last night, he's there now ..

they have social worker on the way to sign living will/power of attorney to him because she's not coherent enough to make any sound decisions herself.

This was all VERY fast ... she just took herself to doc and was at work on Friday ... feeling BAD but not this bad.

they have her on morphine

Docs are trying to decide if it's even treatable at this point
 
Oh gosh... I'm so sorry!! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time! :hugs:
 
I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL, Priscilla. She (and your whole family) will be in my prayers.

((hugs)) I'm so sorry. My grandma passed away from lung cancer last May. She found out the start of 2008 and only made it to May 2nd of 2008 before letting go. I have lots of positive thoughts and prayers for you guys ((hugs))
 
My mom and step dad are on their way, so I can take Will to the hospital to visit and bring DH some necessities.

Lucas was still slightly feverish earlier today so not taking him yet.

I think DH has contacted everyone that needs too and doctors have said NOTHING about treating. :crying:

Maybe they'll talk more about if it's even an option tomorrow?
